hey Usc, when someone says i took over 2.5 instead of over 2.75 what does that mean ?    isnt it basically the same thing ?   read it in a thread over in Soccer forum 

it means he bought it down to 2.5 from 2.75 which means 2.5 and 3... so you need 4 goals to cash completely, but three will cash half of your bet... it's just the way they split up lines in soccer... they go by quarter goals because there is so much less scoring instead half goals like in hockey and baseball

yeah tfc has a problem scoring against decent teams... we are one of the worst teams in the league... they were seein mad action offshore by the looks of it but yeah looks like under was the right play.. and spain huh...hmmm interesting

but wouldnt 3 goals be higher then both 2.5 and 2.75

haha i know it can seem confusing at first... for example if you have OVER 2.75 it splits your wager half and half between 2.5 and 3.... if you were to take a 2.25 it would split your bet half and half between 2 and 2.5 thus giving you half of your bet back if the game totals 2 goals... same with OVER 2.75 if you get three goals you win half of your bet push the other half

thanks for the explanation Usc, i got it now, i never seen a line @2.75 but i deal with all locals, one u can view lines on a site but I never seen that offered

yeah you only really hear soccer bettors talk in quarter decimals like that... even at pinny they don't list it that way, they list it like this for example:

pick em and -0.5 -112     or      over 4.5 and 5 -110
