Washington at Nebraska (12/30/2010)

I have waited for awhile before deciding on this game - everyone knows huskies are pumped to be there and Huskers do not want to be there (usually a clear sign to go with the Huskies here)......Huskers have 2 suspensions for this game (DT STein and backup safety Thenarse).  Neither is a big loss..Stein is good, but the backups have plenty of experience and will do well.  I expect Locker to run a LOT more in this game, as well as I think Washington will try and run their stud RB a bit more this time...maybe some more screens, etc as well.  Husker D can be run on early in the year, but last 4 games they have done much better.  OU Landry Jones is only person to really light it up in the air against the Husker Pass D.  Husker offense relies on 2 things to be successful - 1) TM being healthy, and I don't believe he is 100% yet from the ankle and turk toe injury and 2) OC Watson not outhinking himself (he tends to get cute and goes away from whats working for some reason) - Washington Run D is terrible..ranked 103rd in the country...I would expect big games from RB's Helu and Burkhead..expect to see some Wildcat formations with Burkhead having a big game.  #1 WR Paul expects to play after breaking leg about 6 weeks ago.  I dont believe Locker will have as bad a day against the Blackshirts as before, and I don't believe that TM will have as good a day as he did back in Sept against Huskies...that being said, 13 is not enough.  Washington will be fired up early, and if they can get up 10-14 real quick they certainly have a chance, but Huskers have had a great bow season practice schedule and I fully expect Pelini to have his team ready to play.  It wont be 35 point margin this time, but 20 is certainly in the cards.  huskers roll here...I like the Under as well

half a point of movement??? is that how u wager on all games that move half a point a few hours before game time?

The half a point plus the fact that alot of the public will take nebraska tonight and the book knows that  (also)

the book also knew everyone was going to hammer oklahoma state when that line went down and down and down....

Nebraska shut down CB Prince Amukamura will handle Washington WR Jermaine Kearse. In the first game, QB Locker threw his way once all game.

Additionally, Nebraska had three players rush for over 100 yards vs. Washington.

That kind of line domination can't be coached up or fixed...an a$$ whopping is an a$$ whopping.

That is true for that game except 5.5 and 4.5 really is no difference so it did not matter to the book.  And in most books it went down and back up at very end.  The Oky state game was bet more early than any other game so the books knew they lost that one.  Everyone and his brother won that one.

as far as the nebraska d goes, i think it will be a repeat of the previous game

Washington looking good so far...I'm glad Nebraska held them to a field goal but still need to make up 17.5 point before halftime

looks like Huskers were more pissed to be at this game then to care about it...I never would have expected that out of a Bo Pelini team; but they are so sloppy and not playing well at all.  they are making Wash look like a much better team.

Damn, i had a feeling Neb lack of desire to be in this bowl would be a factor, and i should have went with my gut  ...instead I am taking it on the chin

The whole Husker program should be ashamed by not only their lack of perfromance, but the sloppy, stupid penalties.
