Those same houghts were running rheough my head. If this game was on a Saturday there would only be one post in the thread. Jimmy the Greek once said, "Don't bet a game just because it is on T.V."  What would make me the most upset, is that if I bet on this game, then I would spend 3 hours of my life watching a Rice game. Those are 3 hours I could never get back!

 Seems like a good night to watch baseball and analyze thursdays game, one that is worth watching.

Cocknocker, I think you are on to something.  Rice is bad, but 20 points is a mountain.  Plus if SM gets up, conservative may take on a whole new meaning with a 3rd stringer.

Someone said USM has no D. I think D is pretty good against a bad Rice D. I like the under also since QB3 is not going to air it out like the starter.

great insight on the game.  i think it will be tough to know with a 3rd stringer and 20.5 pts to cover.  not sure about either one.  agree there are better plays.

everyone seems to be on the under - i think southern miss can still score plenty though on rice.

defenses both seem pretty soft but not sure on this one.

Might just put a small play on the under.

Mysterious practice injury for 2nd qb means he sucks and they can't win with him so they're going with the kid who can run a little. Rice will be able to pass a little and So. Miss wil be able to run a lot. Going with Over and small on Rice. Good Luck All.

3rd string QB actually has a good arm and can scramble.  My pick is USM -20.5.  I think this is the best bet for the game.  Rice sucks bad!!!!

Man Im glad you made a pick I already had the under and I have went against you twice and lost my ass. So we both have the under BUT I did take RICE at 1/2 +11 1/2 went just a little heavy on the under and very small on RICE at 1/2 just to make it interesting  I STINK   Ive actualy been playing for 2 weeks with a $100 I just cant get a run going it will come

Something is stuck in my head all day today...  Don't know if Rice can hold out the whole game but I think they can stay with them within 12 during the first 1/2,  With that said I also am on the under with 2 crappy teams...  very small play on Rice+12 @ the 1/2 and the under.

Under is the play.  Might take a small play on USM  just cause i dont think rice has the team to cover here and Southern Miss is pissed off

Rice is terrible but So Miss just had their bubble burst. Whith a new QB and redemption on their minds I think they will have too many young mistakes. No question So Miss is the better team but in this case I think they will be overanxious to prove it.
 
Rice has to be more relaxed because they play teams like Texas so So Miss isn't that big of a deal to them.
 
Young QB with something to prove hurts So Miss.
 
I am taking Rice and the Under. It's not too late, please someone talk me out of it!

Actually still thinking about putting anything as of yet on the under. I'm just going off the info that was put out on the board by others.

Trying to use discipline on this and staying away but the info put out by the others makes valid points on the under.

To make matters worse I see my friend lefty on here playing the over.  I hate going against him.

I've got 20 minutes to decide.......

Blk, I stayed out of it but if I was putting a bet in for this game, I would have done the same.  Might have teased Rice to +28 though.
