I just keep going back to two things:

1.  The reverse money is sick.  75% on Tech, yet the line went from -6 down to -3.5 at one point.  That is gross.  Someone knows something.

2.  How the F can Tech get up for the Cotton Bowl?  This is has to be embarrassing for them.

I locked in Tech in my against the spread pool for the final 17 games.  I'm 8-2, so I want the win, but I'm reversing to Ole Miss, and if Tech pulls it off, I'll consider that a nice little hedge.

Pingi look at the the Texas Tech/Baylor game...Tech was held to 21 points through 3 qtrs in that game before scoring 14 in the 4th. I'd say Baylor slowed down that O too. Just my opinion.

I really think that Oklahoma showed what Texas Tech's REAL WEAKNESS is when they beat the LIVING HELL out of them. They passed & passed & passed against them & I do not mean little dump passes, Oklahoma was throwing the ball down field  & scoring.
So, I feel that Mississippi has had a good amount of time to study the
Texas Tech game films & I feel that they will MOST DEFINITELY throw the ball down field against a Texas Tech defensive back field that gets lit up a good amount of time ( Oklahoma, Texas, etc).
Final score: Mississippi 38  Texas Tech 31.

TTech -4.5 is the pick for me.   Just a single unit play.
I give plenty of respek to Ole Miss, who could certainly upset
today, but will need to do it with turnovers.  If the game is
fairly clean, TTech should win by double digits.  Ole Miss
has a good D but better on run defense, their pass D is not
quite as hot.  They gave up an avg of 209 yds passing per game,
good enough for 135th in the country.  That won't be enough
to stop the #1 passing offense in the country (yardage-wise.)

I may add another unit here yet...  GL today everyone and happy new year.

Does anyone have any inside on either of these teams?

Funny....didn't think Pike would put the O/U 2 TD/Int over with 4 picks.  But I'll take it.

I am going to wait right up until kickoff to get this bet in, because it may get back up to around 6 by the way the public is pounding Tech. Texas Tech's offense is awesome when it is really clicking, but they are the type of team that will have NO chance of winning if Mississippi can come up with a few big stops. This is simply because they have a difficult time getting defensive stops of their own. Im not sure who said it earlier, but they tend to make major mistakes when they fall behind, which compound and send them in to a major downward spiral.  There is no point in even discussing the line movement b/c so many already have...but it is just insane the way this line has been moving. I'm gonna roll with Mississippi and look to improve upon the bad stretch I've been on and get back to my winning ways...Might even throw a little on the ML...BOL to all!

Another thing to think about is Harrell's hand injury.  He bangs that puppy on someones helmet, and this one ain't close.  Just one of those scary issues.

I don't think this will go over.....Let's not forget the styles of the two conferences (SEC vs Big 12).  Ole Miss is no slouch on defense. And I can't get the Alabama and TTech game outta my head from a few years ago. If I remember correctly, it was an under play.
 
Ole Miss will try to grind it out and keep the ball out of Tech's hands. Any coach would.
 
That being said....Staying away, but going with the strong SEC conference vs. a Tech team that just looks too good to be true.

I just did a little research. Mississippi, in their last 3 games has outscored their opponents by a score of 135 - 13 & has given up 383 yards TOTAL in their last 3 games ( 127 yards per game!!). I know that 2 of the 3 teams are not that good, BUT, HEY, what a way to finish the last 3 games of the year & get your team all PUMPED up for a bowl game!! Here are the teams & the results:

Mississippi 59  UL Monroe 0 ( UL Monroe total yards: 131)
Mississippi 31 AT  LSU 13 ( LSU total yards: 215)
Mississippi 45   Miss St 0  ( Miss St total yards: 37!!!!!!!!!!)

Usually, when Mississippi plays Miss St , in this state rivalry, these games are kind of on the close side, but this year, Mississippi blew them off the field!!  I feel that Mississippi is TRYING to make a statement, by blowing these teams off the field.
