SC beat Ole Miss last year before SC took a nose dive, and before Ole Miss got hot!
Snead and company are healthy from the flu and just have more talent.
If SC wins this game it has nothing to do with being a trap game or home dog or Vegas conspiring. It will be due to turnovers.
Snead is better than Garcia.
Ole Miss has more overall talent than SC.
Spurrier isn't going to out think the room.
Name one game 'the old ball coach' has won by outcoaching the other team since he has been at SC.

i think im changing my bet to cocks as i will be at the game... and my influence on the fans will erupt the crowd and snead fumbles and norwood returns it for the win... well we can only hope anyway... my money will be on cocks and over, this is ole miss first bump in the road to there upsetful year... the nutt aint that good of a coach, only bc of beating florida last year are they so hyped...

Yeah...Not that good at all...Just covered 8 of the last nine games...Not a big deal at all. Spurrier is much better.

I'm with you Kid, Ole Miss has to much talent for SC, Ole Miss covers easy, IMO.     Gonna be a great game to watch on a Thursday Night!!

The public is POUNDING Ole Miss, much as we all expected.  Keep pounding, if history has been a lesson, it's taught me that the public is more often wrong.  SC +3.

I read this on ESPN's preview of the game,
 
"Mississippi (2-0) has a short week to get ready for its SEC opener after defeating Southeastern Louisiana 52-6 on Saturday. The victory came after the team spent its bye week recovering from a case of the swine flu that affected more than a third of the roster."
 
Does anyone have any further info on this??  FLU or even worse, SWINE FLU for a 1/3 of the roster doesn't sound so good.  I was 100% for Ole Miss tonight and am still on them but i am now thinking about lowering my wager amount based on this news.  thoughts on this anyone?

The only way Ole Miss loses tonight is if the Refs have something to do with it...

Like I said before, it really is 50/50, its either teams game. I feel more comfortable with my money on Ole Miss, but If I had to bet on SC, I wouldnt mind either...It truly can go either way.

and tech and @ lsu and 4 pt loss @ bama... also have won 8 straight. the line should be 6 or 7

not necessarily true... fresno went to o/t against a flu infested wisconsin team. it set the boise game up perfectly as they were only getting 7 pts on a friday night game. i pounded boise big . haven't read the story but it sounds like they are all better now, so dunno if this will even affect anything.

Normally I wouldn't even go near this game. I have learned to stop playing SEC games. They are capped very differently than the other conferences. However, this game intrigues me. I'm not sold on the Thursday night home dog in this one. I think Ole Miss is a great team. They have great players on both sides of the ball, and YES the better coach. The days of the old ball coach beating the hell out of teams with the UF talent is over. I think he proved that with a miserable affair against NC St. to open the season. They didn't deserve to win that one. They were lucky that the team they played deserved to win it less. Ole Miss wins and covers...Watch out over players, turnovers make this one lop-sided!

my initial lean was ole miss and i still think they should be 7 pt favorites, but as game time approaches i am beginning to think that sc is the play. think this game is going to be very very close so how can i not take the team getting 4.5 pts. i think the over/under at 53 is a coin flip as well. expect that to be very close to. my book had usc at +5.5 earlier today, wish i had grabbed it then.

Why would you bet on this game then? Stay away from games that you could see going either way.

It seems the better that everyone thinks Ole Miss looks the better I feel about taking South Carolina +4. Whenever a Thursday home dog looks to be outmatched they usually cover! So I will roll with this trend.
