IF, you think that the game is going to be like you predict, go & pour yourself another drink......might as well make it a few!!!!!!
I really wish people would THINK before they write or post something........That really GRIPES me!!!!
Final Score: LSU 28 Georgia 24
P.S.- Georgia's defense is NOT like it was in the past. Check out the scores in their games this year, bro!!!! The least that they've allowed was 17 & that was to ASU this past week.
IF, I'm wrong, I will admit it on here NEXT week!!!!
LR, I hear you loud and clear. My analysis is based on the book by Malcolm Gladwell, Blink. This is, as the book suggests, "a gut feeling". Yes, Georgia's defense has been playing abysmal this season, and, yes, LSU is undefeated and ranked #4 in the country. These factors alone imply that LSU will, indeed, pose a formidable opponent this Saturday in Athens. However, there is a little more to my prediction than just a gut feeling...
a.) I believe that LSU is just as unreliable as Georgia. They have not played anybody all year, and their fan base does not like their current HC, Les Miles. Did I mention that LSU went 3-5 in the SEC last year? Also, they are getting very little pass rush so far, and their offensive line woes are beginning to show, as well. The dominant LSU teams of the past were coached by Stacy Searles on the O-line. Where is Stacy now? He is coaching Georgia's offensive line. Believe me when I say he knows how to prepare for LSU's defense.
b.) Vegas is begging you to take LSU at +2. Go ahead and play LSU as it may be a close game as you suggest. But I can tell you right now that UGA is sick and tired of playing in close games, and LSU is probably sick of them, too, after barely scraping by in Starkville over a team that will finish the year with a losing record. It does not bode well for LSU that this is their second road SEC game in a row, and the fact that they have to play Florida next week. Yikes.
c.) Finally, I don't like to explain my logic on this board, but when you call my prediction into question, because I do not THINK, it really pisses me off! I've been watching football since 1976 when Kentucky thumped our butts 33-0 between the hedges, and Prince Charles was recognized at halftime. What made it quite humorous was the fact that the Georgia faithful greeted him with a huge sign claiming that the "Prince likes it doggy-style". While the fans that crafted those creative words are no longer able to watch from the railroad tracks, (they were replaced with 25,000 seats in the east endzone after UGA won the national championship in '80) they will be in Athens this Saturday, and they will be loud! Georgia is going to be fired up come Saturday, and, in my opinion, LSU will get punished.
UGA 41
LSU 16
