An undefeated team that is only 3-4 ATS and plays much worse on the road than at home. Its only a 4 hour flight from Hawaii to Reno I believe. I'll wait for the line but I'd say that Nevada gets a strong early lean. Head to head the home team has covered 5 of the last 6 meetings. Waiting for the line but early lean is Nevada.

I'm guessing no lines until Colt Brennan's status is determined. Braddah was knocked out cold in the game against Fresno St. That's the thing with hero's I guess.
Hawaii discovered it's running game last week. LWJ and the new guy had 10ypc games. Leon ran one in for a TD. They ran out of a pistol formation...sort of.
My guess...with or with out Colt...spread is +14 and 80.

Coach Jones is talking old-school football. "When I was playing...got knocked out..finished the game...don't remember a dang thing."
Sorry, bookies, coach is not gonna telegraph his game plan.
The class of concussion has something to do with how long the lights were out for Colt. I'd say they were out long enough to not risk a game this soon. Still, coach ain't sayin'.
My guess is Tyler Graunke gets the start, and he's an excellent back-up.

if i'm thinking about taking the points with Nevada i would almost prefer Colt plays just to get the better line... figure the reality is the line shouldn't fluctuate between the two QBs, but with Colt having so much hype around him might be a bit more inflated with him in...
on the other hand, maybe you get a better line on the Over without Colt, and either way it shouldn't make a difference on the final score... so maybe bet the Over if Colt doesn't play and bet Nevada if he does... as crazy as that sounds...

What little I could find on this game is that Nevada is favored. Hawaii has never won there, but this is not a typical year for Hawaii. Colt is a game day decision...that's all they're giving us.
Both Tyler and Inoki got reps as starter during practice. Braddah Colt did not suit up, but he was at practice.

Yah its looking like Tyler and Inoke will both get to play if Colt is a no go. It will be interesting to see if they use a 2 quarterback gameplan and surprise Nevada. Inoke is a good scrambler and pretty quick.

Those class 3 concussions are not something to take lightly.
You get ANOTHER one or two, and you can have permanent and lasting damage. He may have already had a couple, and not even know it. They keep adding on to each other.

Like to hear the doc's opinion here, as Nevada is his favorite team, and he's up on concussions as well. He'll be sitting in box seats watching this one, damn his lucky ass.

my avatar is my 17 yr old giving someone a concussion.
Colt will play and even if he is 75 % he'll douse the Nev defense which isnt anything as good as fresno's. Nev can and will score plenty on UH so the question is whether or not they can do long sustained drives that wears UH down, especially in some nice 35 degree drizzling reno weather. if UH does its usual get up by 21 thing it will be a long night, but there wont be any quit from nevada who hasnt lost here to UH as long as I can remember.
If I could remove my brain and analyze this one impartially I'd be scared of laying two TD's with UH(bc of the QB and RB for nev) but scared shitless of Nevada's crappy secondary if I took Nev.
Im going to this game and I will bet Nev, wont be surprised if they either win/make it close BUT wouldnt be surprised to see an asswhoopin by UH either.
Nev has played 3 crappy teams since Boise and won but not covered(2/3 first 1/2 covered) The QB is a serious athlete with an incredible arm but late on his reads. He is kick ass with scrambles. O-line pretty good/receivers average/RB good...a few fumbles lately. Defense...just a couple good players line/lb...bad secondary. overall, nev seems to play to the level of their competition except for nebraska game 1. I'd say Nev is a notch above SJst and La tech(which aint saying much)
jays guess...UH wins in a close game or Nev gets a back door on a tired UH D.

You will see good shots of the knockout blow by FS's LB as well as a good look at a dazed Colt afterward. There also footage of some long runs by newcomer, Libre, as well as a run TD by LWJ.
Nevada favored by 2 TD's? Dang.
Hawaii's young O-line has been very good lately. Again, we had a breakdown on K/O coverage that resulted in a 98yd TD by Fresno St. in the first half. Defense...broke down in the second half against the Bulldogs.
Bye week for UNR, frigid cold, high altitude, injured superstar QB, winless record for the Warriors in UNR...

Maui my friend you need to quit with changing your damn avatar.
I really liked the other one it made me feel like running through a field of flowers
But not complaining about the new one either
I think I got censored for that one. Eh, I try to keep it tasteful. That field of flowers was somethin' though...wasn't it?
Doc, ya got me all excited there for a minute. Much respect to the Nevada team and all...and congrats on a GREAT b/up QB.
Gotta rethink my position here. Early success with a bet at the half, or settlin' down of the b/up's for a late win? Hmm...
I fully believe Colt's status is a red herring. There is no way you're gonna play the guy after a knock out 6 days ago. Either way, we gotta battle-test Graunke or Funaki for openning day in the Gator Pit next year.

Bigdaddy.... I'm a long time viewer, posted with another screen name back in the day but couldn't remember it... hence the new screen name. Anyways.... you gonna be at the game on Friday?
I'll be up there hopefully watching UH get another victory. Probabaly won't bet this game, if I do it will be o/u bet. Would rather have Hawaii win straight up than make a spread. Would be nice to meet up, been following your halftime picks for almost 2 years now.
