Just heard on the local news here that Brennan did practice with the team this morning.  They are leaving this afternoon for Neveda.  I also heard that Tyler got most of the snaps in practice.  I guess, Tyler getting ready just in case the doctors don't clear Brennan on game day.
 
This call for Brennan to play is not June Jones' call at all.  It is left up to the Team Doctors if Brennan is to play

The past seven games played, the home team won.  I think this year it belongs to UH.  They have should have more incentive.  This group of young players are together, more ohana than other years.
 
Even though with Colts KATOOSH as Larry Price would say, he is a tough cookie from California.  If he can't go per the team doctor, Tyler or Inoki could step in.  I think those two had some good practice time this couple of days.

The best pass defenses in the WAC are Hawaii, La Tech, & SJSU.  Hawaii's run D is tops in the WAC also. 

I love the spread...w/ or w/out Colt.

I'll be up there hopefully watching UH get another victory.  Probabaly won't bet this game, if I do it will be o/u bet.  Would rather have Hawaii win straight up than make a spread.  Would be nice to meet up, been following your halftime picks for almost 2 years now.

Wish I could be there to watch this one but I can't. Trying to take care of business before I leave for vacation for 2 weeks.

Trying to see if I can smooth talk wife into watching Boise St game when I'm on Oahu.

Not sure on the first half play on this one. IMO probably a better chance of covering with Graunke starting at QB rather than Colt. Last injury Colt came out to play and started off flat.

Still thinking....

took a dime at +10 and the line moved to 8, what power I felt.
the locals here think Nev might win this one,  I personally think theyll pull out a close game with a UH victory.

Bruddah BigD...you com'n ova hea next week? Boise State game is already sold out from wat I hear so it might be a Pay-Per- View game for alot of us. You got family here on da island? Be more then happy to take you and the family out for some grindz....you know...a little appreciation for the   we won due to your calls. LMK bruddah as it'll be more then our pleasure.
 
If the line goes to double digits on dis game, I'll lean to Nevada but...not sure about -7 or -8???? Nevada will be up and rested for this game and also....the weather will be a factor for da local players. Game time is 8pm Nevada time with the weather in the 40's....half time should be either low 40's or high 30's, that equals "blue" balls for us locals.
 
Nevada would love to spoil our undefeated record and Boise will watch this game closely since Boise is undefeated in the WAC with one loss (Washington) and this is a critical game for the Warriors. Lose to Nevada and the edge is with Boise on their trip ova hea next week. I think that UH "may" win but, alot closer then people think (maybe 2~3 point game).

Lot of folks are thinking how close the other UH games on the road has played out + with Colt questionable.  Initally felt the same way, but a big win will set up the game of the year for us WAC fans.  Nevadas 2 weeks to prep is my only concern.

Sandy's I'm coming next week my bruddah  for about 2 weeks

I have plenty family over there on Oahu and the wife was born and raised on Oahu with more family. I had to come over to Oahu to steal her from you handsome buggah's and made her move Maui so you cannot steal her back

No need worry about pay back my friend you from Hawaii and you already know how it goes. No worry Beef Curry.

Her parents always get something planned so I gotta make my in-laws happy. You know how it goes

As far as the Boise St game still trying to go to that one. I wanted orange section but was sold out. My sister brought me tickets in the Blue for $200 each.( scalping ) I got robbed on that one. Still trying to sweet talk the wife into going cause her family had plans for all of us to eat at Makino's in Aloha Tower that night.


Anyway back to the game....

Colt practiced today but still need to see the 1st half line in this game if it's around 7-8 I'll take UH at the half.

early on i was thinking i would love Nevada in this game getting 14-17 points... even thought i might make a ML bet, simply for value... but now with this line so low i'm thinking about betting Hawaii straight...
 
i realize Nevada gave Boise a game, but i think they caught them off guard... since that game Nevada has not looked impressive, and they aren't going to catch Hawaii off guard now, are they?
 
still gotta think about it... Nevada is a primetime homedog and all... but still... line seems too good to pass up...

Bruddah BigD.....jus' LMK if theres anything I/we can be of help wit.....sheesh, at least wan plate lunch from Rainbows?   Jus' a tip....Makino kinda sucks  (something like the Akron game) a betta place, if not to late, is Tsujiki's  in Ala Mo's on the third floor. Bruddah for $35+ bucks...mean kine Kalbi, unreal Tempura, and da best of all....crab legs....no-no-no, not da "cold" skinny snow crab (like in the California hotel in Vegas)....KING CRAB is wat I'm talk'n about! I tink they might go bankrupt cuz you know how once da bruddahs fine out its KING and not snow kine....las' time there was 4th of July. Brah, even get wan Crepe maker and you know us locals not to familiar wit dat but, Makinos get wan to.

Anada game that confuses me Mizzou is only -7?  Kansas State jus' got biatched slapped by the lowly Cornhuskers, I know Mizzou got the big showdown the following week wit Kansas and K-State has a record against Mizzou but....this is certainly a different K-State from the past. Interesting to hear your side on this Mizzou game.

Update BigD, at the Las Vegas Hilton.....they came out with a half time line for the UH game.....Warriors -4. The locals might inflate that number to -5 or even -6 but, it'll still fall into your first half play line.

I live in Reno and have been a UNR alumni for ten years. Nevada is going to put up a tough game. The hype was the same in years past: high flying Hawaii, practically unbeatable, coming in to lowly Nevada for a romp. But it hasn't happened - at least not yet.
 
Two words for you: pass interference. Nevada is just not going to be able to cover Hawaii's passing game. Best Nevada can do is use pass interference to stop the big play (85 yard TD passes and what not).
 
Expect both teams to put up big numbers (30+ pts/team). But the edge has to be with Hawaii: if just a couple big plays don't get stopped they will have a 10-14 point lead by the fourth quarter.
 
My advice: take Hawaii at the half.

I really like NEVADA  a lot in this game i am taking NEVADA ant the TD before it gets smaller.... This new young QB NEVADA has looks pretty damn good and it's not like Hawaii has a good Defense.... through in the fact Hawaii hasnt played anyone this good yet but yet they have been pushed to the limit many times this year if i can recall 2 overtime games they almost lost, and they were like 30+ favs over La Tech and i think they won by 1 point in OT.... I cant believe NEVADA is getting the points here @ home colton or no colton, i would have expected a pk em TO -3 fav for Nev if colton was playing which he is, and a NEV -3 to -7 if he wasnt... NEVADA SHOULD RUIN HAWAII'S DREAM SEASON WITH EASE... jUST MY THOUGHTS gl YALL...

  BD, lived right next to the Wave near ala moana/kalakaua for 2 months and had a local girlfriend(spoke pidgin/ate spam) for 3 yrs.  best time of my life man..pakalolo/box/paradise=

After Nevs game v Boise St,the line is only 7ish against a ranked team atm and Brennan isnt 100%.

As far as Makino's I rather be eating hot dogs and popcorn and watching the game.

Kam Bowl closed already used to love the Ox tail soup over there  I bowl so I have entered many tournaments on Oahu ( not Hawaii tv Bowling I too ugly too be on tv.  ) Kauai, Big Island and Vegas.

As fas as buffets the wife always gets nuts at me when we are in Vegas. I don't eat much when we go there. I can honestly say that there have been nights that I spend 24 hours on the crap tables without eating. I was at the Cal once and was lucky enough to get a chance to ride on the table with someone who had one Golden arm that night. that was Sweeeeeeet!!!!!!

Recently I go half and half Craps & some Texas Hold'em. Thinking about entering one year WSOP but the wife said HELL NO!!! Too long for me too be in Vegas.

Back to the game.......

Need to wait for the line for this one but 3 or 4 would be a nice 1st half play. Remember how they juice up the line on me last week.

I like Nevada & the points in this game . Breannan is playing , BUT anytime you suffer a hit & a concussion like he took , you WILL NOT be at 100%, probably not even 80% the following week . The game is at Nevada . Late start & It's going to be FREEZING OUT THERE !!
As I said above , I like Nevada & the points & I will go out on a limb & say , NEVADA WILL UPSET HAWAII ..........38-35 !!  IF Nevada could score A TON of points AT Boise , they DEFINITELY can score A LOT of points against Hawaii !!

Wow, the way the line is moving, it reminds me of the stock market.  It is down to 6 - 6 1/2 in Vegas.  I'll wait til tomorrow to place my bet and thank all the Nevada bettors.
