Auburn has won 16 of its last 18 games when wearing all white uniforms. (Dont let this fool you, since UGA loss when they "Blacked Out"...but its still something to think about)
Thats the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
So, out of that whole post, you find that one sentence to be the dunbest thing youve ever heard...
everyone thanks you for your opinion...good job!
next time, instead of ridiculing one sentence of someone who is trying to help, try just stating your opinions about the GAME. I thought it was an interesting trend to think about, didnt know it was the big of a deal for you to try and bring someone down for helping out other people who are wondering about this game.
GL to you sir. Hope you found my post interesting enough to help you make a decision on this game...

West Virginia experimented with opening up the passing game in the beginning of the season. Since then, they've gone back to the option run, realizing Pat White's inability to pass.. I think Auburn should be able to contain the option and make White beat them with his arm. They should be able to get some pressure on White and make him throw before he wants to.. After facing some tough SEC defenses, i think this should be cake for Auburn on offense.. They should be able to move the ball well as long as they show some balance..

Auburn +3.5 @ West Virginia

so you consider yourself helping the covers faithful by telling them that a team wins more when they have a white jersey on, opposed to their dark jerseys. You are honestly considering Auburn because of the color of jersey they will have on?

Another WVU alum here with some pearls of wisdom and a bet that will pay November's rent. Listen carefully, I am dialed into Morgantown and what is going on and off the field.
Last weekend, I traveled clear from SoCal to Morgantown to watch us putter by the Crusty Cuse. My bet on Syracuse at +24 paid for the 2K I blew to get into Morgantown and fund an underage tailgate with no less than 20 textbook alcoholics. The game should have ended at 10-6. A late score by Devine made the game look much better than it was. I was in the parking lot by halftime reflecting how depressing the entire atmosphere had changed since last year. Even the partying was subdued. That never happens at WVU.
WVU's team chemistry is in shambles. Bill Stewart has been an absolute embarrassment to WV and its fans. He has destroyed a great team in 5 weeks. There is no coming out party here. Do not think last years team will suddenly emerge---they died with Bill Stewart's rotten front teeth and last brain cell. Shit, we are all praying Bill has finally learned how to use his headset--a major impediment in the Colorado game.
Pat White has cashed out. A girl I know lives two doors down from him and he is done. He is planning bigger and better things. Can anyone say MLB contract? Why would he throw his body out there. The play calling is about as imaginative as buying your ball and chain roses on Valentines Day. Don't expect 70-90 scampers against Auburn. Auburn has way more team speed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Granted, Auburn is equally pathetic on offense, if not worse. But WVU is soft and will turn the ball over at least twice. Pat White will be lucky to leave the game with his head attached to his shoulders.
Be smart, buy a half point and take Auburn at +3.5. That will protect you from a 60-yard Pat McAfee field goal to win the game. Note, McAfee can kick 50+ all day. It is the 10-20 yard gimmees that give make him wet himself.
Have fun!

Get a life bud. That was the least important trend out of that whole post...and this is now just a waste of time arguing with you.
PS...
Sometimes a team will wear their "good luck" uniforms/jerseys to change their luck... sometimes it pumps up their players more and makes the game just a little more important to win because when they wear those jerseys/uniforms, its something to take pride of. So maybe, since they are wearing the ALL-WHITE UNIs thursday night, they might just play with a little more pride. To some athletes, that means something. I wasnt saying they are going to win JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE GOING TO WEAR THOSE UNI's...it was one trend of the many that I posted. Quit wasting our time with your criticism.
Maybe now, you might regret talking shit on my post.
Good luck on whichever way you bet sir.

I agree but the only thing that worries me here is Auburn's inability to score. I know they've played a tougher schedule and are in the SEC but they're offense is THAT bad..it terrifies me .
Still leaning on Auburn first half though.. I still think there defense will stomp all over WV in the first half. I'm not sure if I trust this team for the full game after all the bullshit I've seen with them.

WVU -3 ??? Trap game?? Tell me how many HOME teams have won su on Thursday night?? That's right every week accept for the first week of the season. When a ranked team (i dont know off hand) whooped Baylor 41-7. That's Baylor this is Morgantown!!
Auburn should win here but they have a big injured list. Too easy to take Auburn

I'm staying away from this game I can't trust either side. WVU under the new coaching staff is basically trying to make lemonade from using mangoes. Rich Rod's players are so used to his type of coaching style & offensive schemes that this season with the changes on offense WVU looks just plain awful. Once Stewart has his type of players in WVU then they should be back in contention.
Auburn- Not the same Auburn on offense but still solid on defense. Auburn looks like a good play here but they are so absent on offense as of late I would hate to invest on a team that cannot put up points. They have shown that against good defenses they have a hard time putting up points and the one thing that WVU has going for them is a decent ( not great ) defense playing at home.
No play for me but Aloha and good luck to all

Auburn: ton of injuries, deflated after blowing it against Arkansas a couple weeks ago and have not played good on the road this year losing to Vandy and beating miss st 3-2 when they were ranked 9th in the country
WV: Healthy, on a 4 game winning streak, haven't lost a home game this year and have a QB that knows how to win
Should be a pretty close low scoring game but i expect WV to just barely cover that 3 point spread 14-10 WV

Thanks for the insightful post! I will consider this when deciding which way to go... But I was kinda leaning Auburn anyway, I think they are just a bigger, faster, meaner team & hungrier for a win after all the scrutiny...

Tough game to call but I think I'm sold on Auburn. I've lost money on them on a few occasions so taking them is a little difficult. Fact of the matter is Pat White does have a hard time throwing the ball, Auburn got a good look at a Pat White type quarterback with Vandys QB Nickson who by the way was benched after a 3-8 start with 4 yards passing. White will move the chains with his legs enough to keep this one close but I see Auburn scoring on D and making a big play or two.
A good remedy for a bad offense is a bye week. Tubs probably has let everyone on the Offensive side of the ball know how bad they truly suck. On top of that Pitts Former D coodinator has had 10 days to prepare his already juggernaut defense for a slatonless WV. If things go the way they should and Auburn's O isnt shell shocked on a thursday night game in Mogantown Auburn should win by 10. Then again if Auburn played to capacity they wouldnt be coming of back to back losses to vandy and the hogs. Take Auburn -3 buying a half a point to be safe wouldnt be the worst idea either

That's the kind of insight that can only be provided by a homer. Makes my decision even easier to POUND Auburn. I see this game being ugly for WV. They have no idea what they are in store for against that Auburn D. This is not going to be a proud day in Morgantown. As a Buckeye fan I have vivid memories of an offensively struggling team agianst a quality SEC Defense.
