hey vgpop I still have the original system way back from the original YPPT thread. And when I compare with your system currently I am getting slightly different results.

Do you think this newer version is better? and if so, what did you change about it? I would like to update mine as well.

that system is very similar and it has the worst ATS percentage with 42%. what does that mean for this system?

Great job again last night.  Once again the system comes through.  On another note, the Temple line has jumped from -14 to -17 (in my local), however the N. Illinois Line had gone down a half a point to 20.5  I like the Northern Illinois game as it certainly fits the system.

The Temple game is no longer one which fits into the system because the spread went from -13.5 to -17.5.  So i would be cautious to touch it if you are going by Rough and VG's system.  My numbers tell me Northern Illinois is the play, as well as the system has it as a play.  Boise State is a system play, however i personally think they are giving up to many points on the road for primetime game, with less than a full week to prepare.  i hope this helps, as my money is on Northern illinois.

Northern Iliinois -21.5 is the only system play of the night and is an easy winner.

Like DaBoyz2009 said, Temple was a system play in the beginning when it opened at -13.

Even though is never it covered that line with the final score, by closing at -17.5, there wasn't enough for a strong system play.

The system is simple:

As long as the spread between system prediction stays at least +/- 7 points or more from vegas line, it's a system play. If at the last moment it goes less than that, then it doesn't count and those games are a pass.

Virginia Tech closed at -12.5, and it won by 13. No system play, but a winner for the overall numbers.

System plays are 2-0-0 so far, and overall plays are 3-1-0 so far.

I know Boise State is a play according to this system. I wonder if anyone will not play Boise State due to handicapping the game. Two of my respected handicappers, pags11 and JoeFan are playing LaTech +21. Should I pass, or have others here seen a reason not to play this sytem selection?

Even though Boise State fits the System, I personally am staying away.  I capped the game with numbers very close to VG's, but when i make picks i look at other factors too.  For example, this game is a night game primetime in Ruston. Boise State had a short week of practice and had to travel yesterday, now granted Louisiana Tech had a short week as well, but they did not have to travel for a half day before the game.  I think 21 points is way to many to give up on the road in a primetime game.  Boise State will win this game, and may even cover, but my handicapping tells me to stay away all together.

Porter is doubtful for the Game with a Concussion. He is LA Techs only offensive weapon worth worrying about
