A couple of thoughts about Auburn / Miss St-

As I watch the Miss St offense, it reminds me of Auburns when Malzahn was the OC- Prescott kind of reminds me of Cam Newton- so Gus might have some idea how to defense them...

Mullen has never been much of a game coach IMO- and MSU hasn't finished strong in a few games-that has to change, because Auburn without a doubt can finish games-

Not sold on the bulldog secondary- front seven are very good, but they are vulnerable vs athletic receivers-

I say all of this hoping like hell that MSU wins....just a few things that give me pause looking it over-

    And....
Ole miss may be in a letdown spot, but I think their D can handle A&M offense- much like miss st did- and their offense is good enough to win - just a matter of Wallace keeping his poise-

Bama will have their hands full on the road vs Arkansas- I actually like the Razorbacks in this one-
It will be interesting to see how the Tide responds after a loss like that....

Sorry, I wasn't clear... I mean a game Ol Miss would otherwise have a chance to win, they will lose because of mistakes by Bo... I say this because I've watched him play, and he has done things to take his team out of games in the past... You are obviously a fan of his, but I am simply speaking from having watched his decision making and accuracy in the past... He can make plays to win games, but he also makes plays that can lose a game...

I agree this auburn team is something special. ..gus is the real deal at hc...on the other side this miss st team is the best I've seen from them...auburn is just a bit more ahead at this time...auburn has a bad taste in their mouth from last January and are on a mission to be back there and have closure. .both teams have been putting food on the table and I'm taking the food auburn gives me...just tastes better!

How about how underrated Clemson is? With Watson at QB, that is a scary good team, probably top 10 caliber..... would have beaten UGA with him at QB, and should have beaten FSU with him at QB. I don't see Clemson losing the rest of the way, and dog-kicking the cocks azz out of the stadium next month.

Just last week, most people were saying how overrated Auburn was for getting lucky to beat K St. This week, they are something "special" for beating the worst LSU team in over a decade...... Hilarious.

Lucky???...i don't think they were lucky at all...k state played their super bowl and lost, and auburn was a play or 2 from opening the flood gates...props to k state to make it close..auburn wasn't lucky, they are good...and will put miss st in their place on their own field. .keep laughing..auburn will make an example out of miss st to say who's the best in the SEC

ALSO, they aren't special for beating lsu like they played howard, they are special because they are gonna continue their top play and be in the same spot as last year...they have been since hiring of gus...

So go ahead and throw your money away on miss st...
Being in the national spot light is all new to this team.

Just last week I was ridiculing everyone (including you) for not recognizing that Auburn is clearly the class of the CFB world this year, and pointing out that their win over K St should not be seen as a bad thing...

Currently, all 4 of the most widely referenced Power Ranking systems have Auburn significantly ahead of the next best team in the country, largely by virtue of their #8 S.O.S.... 4 of the teams they have beaten (Arkansas, K St, LSU and La Tech) are a combined 14-4 against the rest of CFB... and 3 of those losses are @ Oklahoma, @ Tx A&M (in OT) and at home against Miss St...

Please explain to me in what realm of reality you can attempt to make a case that there is a better CFB team than Auburn!

K St averaging 40.8 PPG... 14 against Auburn
Arkansas avg. 44.6 PPG... 21 against Auburn
LSU avg. 35.7 PPG... 7 against Auburn  (0 for 13 on 3rd down conversions!)
La Tech avg. 34.2 PPG... 17 against Auburn

And remember... Auburn isn't known for their defense!

8 teams in CFB have played 3 games against teams ranked in the top 30 of Sagarin's Power Rankings...

4 of those 8 are 0-3 in those games
    LSU is 1-2
    Oklahoma and Alabama are 2-1
    Auburn is 3-0

    It's an open-and-shut case!

Thanks Shark for responding. Please read the last sentence you wrote and ask yourself this question. Has not every QB thrown interceptions before that could cost their team games? Every team throws interceptions, but can every QB make plays that win games for you like Bo Wallace did Saturday. He made plays to beat LSU last year and he will make plays to win some more big games this year. The only game he lost was in the egg bowl last year when he fumbled going into the end zones to lose in overtime. MSU made a great strip play which can happen to any QB playing especially on the road in a hostile environment.

I did not go to Ole miss . I am an S.E.C. fan first. I have a likeness for Ole miss because of all the politically correct liberals that have seen to it that Ole MISS has had most of their tradition stripped from them. And they won't stop till they strip their name from them.

1 thing IMO that killed Bama is up 14-10 in i believe the 4th qtr they only kicked a field goal. Never let Ole Miss hang around because for whatever reason they stink for the 1st 30-40 mins of a game and then score 17-24 pts in 15-20 mins

Hell maybe we should fade Ole Miss in the 1st half and bet them in the 2H

ND got called for one penalty.

    Stanford got called for nine.

    Now, that's home field advantage!

    3.  Check this out, 11/23 59yds and 3 int. Wow, my drunk cousin with only 3 fingers could do better than that.

OK Boom - got to throw the bull%^$t flag on this part of your quote in #3.  I really don't believe your drunk cousin with 3 fingers could do better - well, wait a minute -------------- Which 3 fingers does he have???  If he still has his thumb as one of the 3, it becomes a little more believable - if the thumb is gone, no way

Love the write-ups as always - great week  - keep it going

Speaking of qbs who throw picks, Wisconsin qbs suck!! 3 red zone picks...Gordon goes off for 260 rush yds and they forget how to call running plays in the red zone...coaching at its finest I suppose
