Agreed OSU DLine will show up next week, however USC at worst gets a stalemate with the strength of their OLINE..... meaning.... have you seen our secondary....?  Our linebackers are not fast enough either.... Did you see Spitler last week?  This is not a good matchup at all, especially if Tressel is trying to win the game 3-0 like he did against Texas in the bowl game.

Insight... why will Barkley be forced into passing situations?  Navy wasn't... they got to pick and choose when to go downfield, because they were able to run all over them...
 
how will this be a different situation?

ohios defensive line got ran all over by navy, same play over and over again, usc running game will run that ohio st defense down, with out beanie wells they arent a top 10 team imo..... usc will win by 21 atleast

Yes, I am an OSU fan, but I am not betting with my heart.  We disagreed on the Ohio State vs. Texas game last year.  You gave me every statistic, matchup, trend, and opinion and said Texas would easily beat OSU.  I still said give me OSU and the points.  That was not a homer play, more of a play of opportunity.  Just like this week's play.  USC beats a horrible San Jose team and OSU had a close game, that was not really as close as the score indicated and the line goes from 3 to 6 because of perception.  This line is inflated and again a good opportunity.  A live home dog with several athletes getting points against a true frosh in his second start.  Sign me up

Insight... you are still living off of that Texas-OSU game... it's a bit much...
 
when all was said and done, i didn't like Texas that much, and the only money i had on them was as the 2nd half of a very large 2-team teaser... i won on that game...
 
but like i said, you are obviously sold on this play, so no point in arguing about it... i didn't expect i would be playing USC here, but i watched both games... OSU was surprisingly bad, and USC was surprisingly good... Barkley could be a high school QB behind that line... he has the easiest job in college football...

MUGG, I only bet on them 2 times last year.  Went 1-1 but won 5 units because put way more on them in bowl game.  I can separate feelings from money.  I like money way more.  Good luck on your picks.

Insight... i have no problem with your takes... i'm not oblivious to the facts that USC is not a great road team, OSU is a tough place for opposing teams to play, and USC has a freshman QB... i don't think this is a no-brainer... i just feel better taking my chances with a team that looks like they are ready for football against one that doesn't...

ksp, i like any top 8 team any and every week... so i like Florida and Texas and Alabama... but they aren't my favorite plays... lotta points to lay...
 
personally i think Boise is probably easier than any of those... they kill bad teams at home, and Miami is a bad team...

having a hard time pulling the trigger on UNC... seems like a great bet, but such a low line seems fishy... i rarely get scared off by fishy looking "trap" lines, but this one just doesn't look right...
 
bit like Troy last week... that one smelled funny so i stayed away... might have to do the same with UNC...

The Tarheels lost all 3 starting WR's from last year. Their leading receiver returning from last year is a RB. If Uconn can stop the run, I think the Heels are in for a long day. Until, they show they are 2 dimensional, I'm gonna stay away. That being said, I did think this line would be closer to 10. Brown was the only thing Uconn had last year.

You must not have saw the game. 70% of his passing yds came after the catch and his sole TD resulted from a DB falling down on the play. Any pass he has to throw beyond 7 yds looks like a wounded duck. We'll find out this week if he can play.

Paulus didn't play that well... he is the one who made the horrible play that cost Syracuse the game... and he was doing that at home against a crappy Minnesota defense that was making ridiculous mistakes left and right...

so to be honest, your question is moot, since the statement "Paulus CAN play" has not been demonstrated even remotely... i knew he wasn't gonna be a piece of shit, but i saw plenty to tell me he also isn't going to be in the Hall of Fame... he is average...

ksp... i agree with your points on UNC... they lost one of the best offensive players in CFB with Nicks... i think both teams are a bit down, if anything...
