The exact same thing happened the last time LSU traveled to a Pac10 venue in 2005. ASU put up 400+ passing.

We heard rumors (from Tennessee fans) that Chavis was a very good DC on 1st and 2nd down, but tended to play too much zone on 3rd, which allowed UW to convert. Tennessee fans called this phenomenon: 3rd and Chavis. UW was 11-19 on 3rd down, which led to UW having the ball for an entire quarter more than LSU.

steve would "smashing" idaho state really redeem the sooners, 3rd team across the board should roll for boomer sooner in that one

they are chumps, and they can fight all they want... i watched the entire Ohio St-Navy game... USC can do whatever they want on both sides of the ball, from what i saw...

maybe OSU was somehow holding something back, not tipping their hand (???)... but i'll take my chances... i wasn't sure i would be betting this game, but after seeing what both teams have to offer, it's a no-brainer...

as for OU - Idaho St... i really only concern myself with games i can bet... so that game is basically a bye from my perspective...

for the record, i think USC looks better than last year's team... they have some kinks to work out, but by the end of the season there will be no doubt they are an improved version...
 
one thing to think about... how many seconds will Barkley have to throw the ball on every passing down?  4?  5?  8?  20?
 
the correct answer is all day... USC is the 2009 version of OU... amazing RBs, awesome O-line... as much attention as teams have to give the run, my sister could complete passes back there...

Matt Barkley is a FN Stud. Carroll has this team ready.
Of course anyone will look good playing SJS but USC's team speed and decision making was much better than OSU's.
 
If USC can put of 56 on these guys what will Utah do?

well, raiderpug, lemme tell ya, i live in san jose, and ill let u know, san jose st, is a decent team, USC is just ALOT better. I think SJ St will cover that 13 pts at home against Utah.

i'm probably not betting anything tomorrow... really need to keep away from any inclination to bet for the sake of betting... i jumped on CU today after having no thought of betting it all week...

Not saying they will lay 50 but feel they will cover. While Utah's program is certainly not anywhere close to USC's, they have built a very good program. Ask Alabama. I felt they could have played much better in their opener (even though I had Utah St to cover). Their coaching staff will have this team focused on this game. Tomey is a good coach, but Utahs program has just been on another level.

I didn't feel a strong lean until I saw the difference in defensive firepower agressively for the Noles and a strong 0line with the better WR's and VERY deep at RB.. I see Miami making that costly mistake like Memphis did today at some point and the FSU defense taking over later in the game like Bama did against VT. FSU will be able to control the L0S in the 2nd half but a close game in the first half..

they played there freshman qb, they are very sneaky becareful with utah i can see them putting some games away if they want to, louks the other qb will run all over san jose st, that was the weakness.... utah should cover easy

Respectfully disagree with the bold comment.  Ice...They are nowhere even close to last year's defense and you replace Sanchez with Barkley....They played San Jose St....Let's give them a few more games before comparing them to last year's team.  A team that only lost 1 game.

I'm an Ohio State fan.  We're going to get drummed by USC.  We are slow, really slow..... McNight is going to look like a video game character out there.  Pryor will have a great game, but it wont be enough.... USC 38 OSU 23.

This game reminds me alot of Texas last year.  No one giving OSU a chance and they cover and almost win.  I see why people are excited to lay points on the road, but consider this:
 
Barkley did not have to pass much last week.  He will be forced into some passing situations in a hostile environment.  He will not have 8 seconds to throw.  OSU's defensive line is good.  USC's all world defense had some problems containing Pryor last year.  I don't see it changing much this year, especially since the schemes will be the same just different personale.  Good luck with your other picks, but I will be on OSU big this week
