Thank You for your interest penhvann. Since I will no
longer be posting to the Forum , It's probably a good
idea not to accept friend requests either.

Good Luck to you this season

I understand not posting your picks... But not posting at all?! That’s disappointing to hear. Hope you reconsider. Lots of stuff happens during season that requires reaction and hot takes.... Hope you reconsider bro. GL to you either way

Thanks for acknowledging my effort to keep the
forum informed , especially in the off season.
Yes I posted a lot of content over the years on
capping , risk management , my opinion on plays,
injuries suspensions , etc. Many read my posts ,
unfortunately, very few on the Forum responded to
to them . It is why I mentioned Tappy's effort in my
post # 86 , and his effort to post to my threads to let
me know that he read them .
It's time for someone else to step up and take over
that role. I'm getting too old for that anyway.
I've got a goal to make and tickets to cash and I will
focus on that in order to insure success this season.

Thanks again for acknowledging my effort to keep
    others informed.

Well, thank you all for your feedback and your
opinions. To those who were understanding and
supportive of what I am trying to accomplish , I thank
you for you support and well wishes. To those who
were not , I understand your frustration in my choice
to not post my plays in order to meet my needs and
not yours. That's life these days. Get used to it.
Since 2012, I have not only posted my plays, but also
provided in great detail,, the process behind the
decisions relative to value, risk, and how to succeed
at this over the long run so those new to sports
betting might gain an understanding of just what they
are up against in the process and how they may
place the odds more in their favor.
    It's nice to know
posters like Tappy actually read my posts and apply
    them to their capping strategy.

To Uniman . So you come into my thread , post an
accusation because you were not willing to take the
time to read all 8 pages of my 2017 Bowl thread , or
my 2017 NC thread before you decided to attack
someone's good name and character. hopefully you
think twice before you decide to attack someone
else's character and reputation. For you to think
that I would post my results for the 2018 season
without posting my plays is an insult to my integrity.

To Combato , In response to your hostile posts.
I have tried to explain  the rationale on why I cap the
way I do in a number of posts. You cannot seem to
grasp any of the concepts on establishing True Line
Value , Win Probability at any given pointspread, and
how that knowledge and understanding will help a
bettor be more profitable at season's end. I am now
done trying to explain it to you.

    To WMI799
,I could see by your first response to my
first post that you had no interest in a serious
discussion, but instead were looking for an excuse to
level criticism. I hope you will read BB's post # 74
especially the quote by one of my mentors,
Bob McCune. What you are not able to grasp is this.
My capping strategy is like a 4 legged stool.
If I posted my plays , I give them 3 legs of that stool.
If they are smart , they will realize that they get the
fourth leg whey they see the final result of the game.

To all of the Haters , If you followed me in past
seasons , you did very well. Thanks to all of the anger
and hostility that you displayed , not only will you not
get any advice and guidance from me this season,
but for all seasons to come. Thank you for helping me
to make the right decision for me.

As stated in that quote , " Bookmakers lines are very

    Hey Wise,

In my opinion you should keep contributing to the CFB forum. Unlike in the MLB Forum there are a lot of great cappers here who share their knowledge and try to help others. But obviously it is up to you.

Have an outstanding season and best of luck buddy

Since I joined the CFB Forum in 2012 , I have come
to know a lot of members here who display
outstanding capping ability , and conduct themselves
with class , character and respect for others and their
opinion. I admire and respect them deeply. Then there
are others on the forum who display little regard for
others. To my friends here , they will always have my
respect and admiration for their skills and their regard
for others. It will always be that way.The Forum has
changed somewhat , and unfortunately not for the
better. I would like to share , but the rampant
disrespect that pervades this forum these days
makes one not want to participate. I have posted
my plays here since 2012 , and consistently done.
well. I do not need to post or to prove anything to
anyone.I'm not trying to build a following , or to sell
my picks. I just want to share information with other
posters whom I trust and respect. Others on this
forum have a tendency to make that somewhat difficult.

Right now I'm mad as hell at some on this forum. That
    will not change soon.

    Good Luck this season.

    3. Your level of self importance is so great you think the books would be looking at your picks.

All around this has to be one of the dumbest threads I've ever read on a sports betting site, and I've read through quite a few.

Maybe I'm in the minority here but I actually come on these types of board's to discuss football games I'm interested in, get information I didnt previously know, and try to improve.  I dont come on here to read about some guy who is choosing not to share his picks this year.  LOL!

You nailed it. This thread is so cringeworthy bad that I thought it must be satire?

The scary thing is that it's not though. This guy has to be mentally ill. It goes way beyond just having his obviously obnoxious ego, it's like ten times worse than that.

Funniest part is that he's announced no less than 10 times in this thread that he's "done with the forum" and yet continues to post on and on and on. Like I said, it goes way beyond just being your everyday attention wh0re, this guy is extremely mentally ill and has diarrhea of the mouth.

Haha, like oddsmakers come to Covers to read your threads.  If you really think that, you have serious issues.

Didnt you say the following in one of your posts at the beginning of the thread:

"Just so you know ,  I will probably not be posting
any of my plays to the forum this season. While I
posted my plays for 2017 , this season I will be
pursuing a coveted personal goal . I will try to have
    at season's end , an 80 % Win Percentage
on all games wagered on this season.
The pursuit of this goal will require me to limit what
I post here so as not to give bookmakers any
information that would make my task incrementally
    more difficult."

So which is it?  Is it the "rampant disrespect" or is it to "not give bookmakers any information" the reason why you are not posting picks/information?

All this sounds like is an attempt to get attention.  Which, I might add, you've been successful at since this is one of the most read/replied threads of late.

Look I realize you're 70 years old as you stated previously.  I'm not trying to give you a hard time for no reason.  But this board is for information exchange on college football.  You specifically came on here to tell us all you will no longer be exchanging information.  Now all you're doing is dragging out your farewell tour by accepting "apologies".

You know what would have prevented you from becoming "mad as hell" at people on here?  Either exchanging information/picks like everyone else or not creating a post telling us all you are not exchanging information/picks this year.  Essentially you've made yourself mad by all of this self-manufactured drama.  But maybe that was your goal in the first place......

Well , Week 1 officially begins. My wagers are in,
and all that remains is the results .
I'm actually working on prescreening Week 2 games
today to select the best 10 matchups for further
    consideration.
I just wanted to offer a little insight to those seeking
to to be profitable at this over the long run.
In a previous post I mentioned my mentors who
helped me when I was trying to put it all together.
    the two most valuable lessons I learned are ;

    1. Knowing how to establish " True Line Value " .
When you learn how to accurately and consistently
measure the projected MOV of any matchup , you
give yourself the ability to measure value when you
compare that MOV to the line offered. When you
only seek to wager on matchups that offer you the
maximum value you will win more wagers and thus,
be more profitable as a result.

    2. Knowing how to establish Win Probability.
When you know how to accurately and consistently
establish and know your Win Probability at any
given pointspread on any wager that you make , you
then have the ability to effectively manage your risk
and maximize your returns . In previous posts , I
have shown the Win Probabilities for my Week 1
wagers. They are described in my post # 39.
My threshold is that I will not wager on any
matchup that does not offer me a minimum Win
Probability of 67 % . That permits me to confidently
wager 30 % of my BR on the play. The capping
method ( used since 1994 ) and verified by over
100 trials confirm for me each and every play
BEFORE I choose to wager on it. This provides to
me the confidence to commit capital to the wager.

If you have the items listed above as  strategic
elements in your capping strategy , you will have
the ability to wager in confidence and with full
    expectation of success.

A confident bettor armed with the tools mentioned
above will succeed at this endeavor.

Good Luck to All this season

Well , Week 1 officially begins. My wagers are in,
and all that remains is the results .
I'm actually working on prescreening Week 2 games
today to select the best 10 matchups for further
    consideration.
I just wanted to offer a little insight to those seeking
to to be profitable at this over the long run.
In a previous post I mentioned my mentors who
helped me when I was trying to put it all together.
    the two most valuable lessons I learned are ;

Good Luck to All this season

Just so you know ,  I will probably not be posting
any of my plays to the forum this season. While I
posted my plays for 2017 , this season I will be
pursuing a coveted personal goal . I will try to have
at season's end , an 80 % minimum Win Percentage
on all games wagered on this season.
The pursuit of this goal will require me to limit what
I post here so as not to give bookmakers any
information that would make my task incrementally
    more difficult.
I have been wagering on College Football now for
over 40 years, and as I said , this 80 % goal is
personal for me. I don't know how many chances
I have left to achieve it. so I will make this one count. My record for recent years is as follows:

    In 2015 ( posted here ) , 68 % . In 2016 ( posted to
    another forum , 67 % . In 2017 ( posted here ) 73 %
So I'm not too far from it. All I have to do is dig a
little deeper , focus a little more , and be very ,very
selective in the quality and the quantity plays that
I choose to wager on. That is my only goal for this
season, and I intend to give it my best effort.

Good Luck to you this season.

Lofty Goal   I know you have it in you WiserGuy. I will be following religiously. I think I am going to stay in the weeds for the first few weeks, but you never know. All the best this season.

You are one classy poster and you deserve a great year!
Proving is hard. Talk is easy.

Had the quite the crowd around me at one point...lol ....betting Standardbreds at Woodbine from Toronto where I live. Went over to Caesars bar to eat, drink and just get outta of the crazy Bellagio and smoke...hot bartender!! If we go in a couple of years, lets have a drink or two. I was hoping to hook up with Wahoo but it never happened unfortunately. Cheers again.

36 are you going to enter the golden nugget 7 games a week ats college or pro contest this season including most bowl games?
Sounds like it was made for you starting next week...13 weeks of ncaa and again most of the bowl games also until dec 30th....i am sure you can fill in the tail end of the contest with enough nfl winners to support your 65-80% ncaa winners you piled up earlier.
Just don't use this name here in the contest so nobody tracks/knows you and you can possibly win a nice dollar amount (about 120k 1st prize) and bragging rights to the 3rd biggest contest in football handi. and the best to determine the overall college and pro combined  world champ.
Win Win situation for you.......all your picks documented anonymously
and a big feather in you cap.
1000 entry fee...the cutoff is next tue or wed.
