clearly someone hasn't watched washington offense. Penix's deep ball is so accurate it won't even matter. this will be a shoot out.

    What a thread. an_roll_laugh

Adian Hutchinson never played a down vs Indy/Penix in COVID yr 2020. Michigan had 13 yards rushing in that game and QB Joe Milton threw 2 ints with three sacks. an_roll_laugh

This should be a dandy of a game. If Michigan gets on top they will milk that clock like the Iowa Hawkeyes and this game goes under. If Huskies jump out and force Michigan to chase it goes over. If refs let'em play, passes will be contested. A couple of early PI's and everything changes.

A game of inches. Pick your poison.

One.thing that does concern me is how small the "margin of error" was on some of those balls.. Massively incredible stuff but I'd be worried about nerves and better E.

Houston I assume.indoors....another big UW... I'M would be bigger favourite with slop

My Penix/Indiana stuff is mostly for the "UK offense has no hope vs UM defense" trolls. I mean he already destroyed them with doormat program. But that's for the trolls

I did mention once or twice that IU  had good defense. Sounds like it was great

The "Aidin Hutchinson" was just for laughs.... I could say "hey, he got beaten out by better player to start at DE". Or was he injured?... I am.confused on what his status was then: redshirt freshman or true sophomore, unless I am snowboard by one year

Great great point on UM running clock with runs.... the UM trolls are on UM scoring 55 poimts. And they claim they are.s.serious

UW pass D.has improved tons... Not sure on UW run D... I assume UP loads up box. Not concerned about being burned big... My concern is whether loading box is enough for run D...

What happens if UW scores 7 to 14 points pretty early, like they have many games vs top defenses.

.i would note that UM threw a very nervous INT on the first offensive play. Luckily Bama DB was an inch oob... Don't get me wrong, UW was lucky very late in one close game. Unlucky in at least one too

.UW problem has been against mediocre to bad teams. Maybe Penix sick/injured (seemed like it and seems to be soft narrative),

The over/under and ATS distributions not be normal for this game

on the JJ McCarthy "passing for more than X yards", i don't know how to break this to you,

ranked opponents averaged 18 passing attempts vs. Michigan

ranked opponents averaged 37 passing attempts against UW.... 65% that the teams like to pass and the clock doesn't run down as fast in Pac 12 and 35% these teams were often 10+ points behind UW.

i think most reasonable people understand that UW has scored pretty easily and pretty early against almost every ranked defense it has played and that UM has pretty much shut down every ranked offense it's played.

and that arguably UW hasn't scored big against incredible defenses and that UM hasn't shut down amazing offenses..... so it's a stalemate until money at 11 pm. and we'll see what happens.

I think they have just enough defense to give Penix a chance.

Alabama and Penn State were not "high powered offenses" as for Ohio State they lost 14-3 to Mizzou in their bowl game.

i appreciate your comments and i like the explanation of not being a homer as i did that myself.

Have you seen Washington play? i am somewhat guilty of the opposite (i.e seeing UM play) .... but how exactly is UW not going to score much? they score at will and never give up sacks...  and throw 2-3 interceptions? check out MP's numbers vs. Oregon/Texas. he missed on one target to his top 3 receivers in two games... shutting down Penix isn't that easy.

and UM is very low scoring team....... my one worry is that UW doesn't have a great run D but i think they load up the box and Michigan has a weak passing game.

anyway, not being mean, but the last 2 years in national championships UM got killed in one playoff game and then lost to a team that lost by 54 points the next week. so i think there's an argument that UM is chronically overrated beating a soft B10 (other than OHS and UM, it's pretty soft these days.. not true 5-6 years ago).... of course UW had a 10-2 record in 2022 and a 4-8 record in 2021 so didn't even get to nattys.

Love Penix and all they accomplished this year but to compare the PAC 12 to the Big 10 is a joke. There is no defense in the PAC 12. Blake Corum. Period. Washington will have limited opportunities and if Mich does what they do best it will be a boring ground and pound game to a big win. Wash loves to also use clock but guess what Michigans defense is stellar vs a 90+ ranked Wash D.

One thing nobody is talking about is Harbaugh played QB in the NFL(not a great QB but that's not the point), He Coached a Super Bowl team in the NFL and his brother has coached in the NFL for 15 years won a Super Bowl and was a Defensive Backs coach before that.

You're acting like they've never seen anything like Penix before in their lives and.... they're aloud to discuss game theory on the phone.

I don't know who will win but acting like Harbaugh is just some shitkicking 3 yards and cloud of dust college coach is ridiculous.

thank you!  this is a major step up for the Mich dee.  They arent facing Iowa, Rutgers, Nebrask.....we all see PSU's struggles in big games.  They do not have a high powered offense unless they are playing Kent St.   tOSU's offense wasnt that good either and they still moved the ball well.  UDub's offense and QB play are well above that.

And Bama is a good offense but not great.  And Bama could have easily beaten UM.  Mich needed a last second TD and some overtime fortunate to escape.

Mich has enough offense to score on Wash defense but they are not quite as good as Oregon or Texas.

people undervalued Wash against Oregon (twice) and Texas.....and they are doing it again here.  Do not doubt the power of Penix and that very strong Wash OLine.

I have been on Washington all season long. That being said, my gut tells me Michigan wins this game because they have the ability to wear you down.

Washington has 3 NFL WR, Jack Westover is a solid option at TE, and Penix is all world at QB. The question for this game in my opinion is this: “Can JJ McCarthy win a game for you?” Michigan’s QB has honestly played mediocre the last 5-6 games. He didn’t throw a pass in the second half against Penn State.

College football coaches don’t recruit enough secondary players to cover that many good WR. Washington can get methodical drives as they have shown in second halves this year.

My gut is my gut. I am just staying, don’t be surprised if Washington comes out on top. How healthy is Dillon Johnson? Washingtons O Line might be the best unit on the field. If Penix is upright, good night Michigan. If McCarthy can make plays and not turn it over, Michigan wins. BUT the last thing Michigan wants is a game in the 30s. Two different styles and it could go either way. Should be a great one.

PS- Magic Mike, grow up bro.

    @jimrockford22

That game was against Penn ST they only threw for 60 yards (7-8) all in the first half yet still won 24-15 on the road also to it was their assistant coach that called that game due to suspension of their coach.  I dont know if they will score 55 points but i do know they will throw a lot more than 8 times and they will have to i think this game will be a high scoring  game with both teams scoring in bunches.

Good writeup! Michigan's QB is GREATLY overrated!! Michigan doesn't trust him to throw it too much. He has some legs and can run, but they don't want him throwing too much. If he plays a good game, I think Michigan wins, however I think Washington is the better overall complete team. Go Huskies

Good writeup! Michigan's QB is GREATLY overrated!! Michigan doesn't trust him to throw it too much. He has some legs and can run, but they don't want him throwing too much. If he plays a good game, I think Michigan wins, however I think Washington is the better overall complete team. Go Huskies
