FWIW, locked in WVU ML +105.

WVU D ranked #17 in ppg (20.7), #36 in rush yards allowed per game (4.0 ypc)

Texas D ranked #93 in ppg (33.2), #80 in rush yards allowed per game (4.1 ypc)

WVU will run, run, run.....Holgerson will have a solid offensive plan coming in, and WVU will be able to overcome a max of 2 turnovers. Any more than that is trouble.

This one may not be close.....the end for Coach Strong is near, and with a blowout loss Texas can fire him at 5-5 and go interim while trying to raise money to get Les Miles.

WVU by 14....and if UW gets sold under 7 (and that may happen with Gameday likely to drone on and on about USC's "talent" for 3 hours in the AM) the UW becomes a big play....potential to roll up that score.

This is a good spot. I am comfortable. It won't be a blowout so there will be tense moments but this game is fundamentally different than the OK/Tex game.

And that of course, has to do with the spread.

Two points that Texas has proven it is more than willing to give away with missed extra points or blocked extra points returned for scores.

If you are watching Texas games (I watch them all) and you are confident heading into this game, you are foolish.

Texas Tech came out and tore them a new one on the first drive of the game. They did the same on the second drive. Up and down the field like a knife through butter. The secondary is still a disaster. OK made it look terrible and fortunately backdoored that game for all the Texas homers.

WV won't need to. Solid passing offense with a solid running offense and solid on both sides on D.

Not spectacular but enough to get the job done in a close game.

Charlie Strong is not going 8-3 folks. This is no 8-3 team. It's WV now or TCU later.

Give me a break. I watched the plays. There were runs where defenders weren't within 5 yards of him.

Usually that happens on a pass. Tech is so bad at Run D it happens on their runs.

I wouldn't want to back a Texas team that just had it's RB have the Red Sea open for it. He wasn't even challenged. Almost broke the ALL-TIME Texas RB record for yards.

Texas fans are just waiting to throw the towel in and move on from Strong....IF WVU can get something going early the grumblings will be audible in Austin.

i totally agree with vern….and you scal. WVU is the most disciplined, and if wvu can get some big plays early, while texas is known for scraping, i can actually see this getting ugly fairly quick. either way i like wvu +2 and ml.

Texas has competed hard all year and had many close games.  OKSt got away from them after all the frustrating blocked PATs

Texas officials want to keep Charlie and save the 10m buyout, but word is he has to win 2 of the last 3 at a minimum.  I can imagine if Texas were to go 9-4, and perhaps even 8-5, to finish the season, the fans would feel better about the season.  hard to say if they really want Charlie to stay if 9-4 isnt reached though.

Texas and its fans are optimistic actually.  Even the sports columnists are saying good things, which hasnt been the norm of late.

But I will say, just about the time things look good, Texas has taken a big dump and gone backwards.  Could happen again.  The line is trending back down to pickem
