They should come out of the gate hot, then fold later in the season.

 I agree. With Lincoln Riley they're an auto fade as road chalk outside of Cali. I'm already eyeballing that Week 3 game at Rutgers, with a monster game with Oregon on tap in Week 4.

Waiting for 1st half lines.  Big spreads like this I prefer 1st half overs.  This will be done early and if USC takes their foot off the gas 2nd half you may need to rely on garbage scoring by SJ State.  JMO

 This is usually correct but Lincoln Riley's USC has a history of running up the score on overmatched opponents. I've seen him call big passing plays up 5+ tds with like 5 mins left in the 4th with the 2nd string QB.

San Jose St with no returning defensive starters .....they will have their head on a swivel and I doubt Maiava will be taken out of the game with a draft next year and him squarely in the Heisman race with Mateer and others

I am pretty sure USC had a total over 70 the last couple of season openers....

 Their QB looked sharp and USCs defense looked like USCs defense.

They were up 28-0 at the half and 35-3 in the third quarter when Riley called off the dogs. USC played a LOT of freshmen today. I think Patterson's D played well for two and a half quarters. Next week will be a bigger test when Fresno comes to town. Nice hit on the over brother!
