I won&#x27;t go as far as to call it the sucker bet of the year, but I would agree with the general premise...This line is about 10 points different from what it would have been when the season started, and I don&#x27;t buy that as a reflection of reality... it is an over-reaction to one bad game against a team (A&amp;M) that everyone assumed would be bad this year... Georgia might be the better team, but 6 points better on the road? Meanwhile, virtually everybody has this game on their card...At what point will the Covers population start to embrace this simple fact:  when everybody likes one side, and nobody likes the other, you don&#x27;t want to be on the same side!Either bet So Carolina, or stay away... but I have seen this movie before, and I know how it ends... it ends with everybody on Covers making threads 10 minutes into the game bitching up a storm and talking about how Georgia sucks...

Hey genius, it was PREseason, i.e. before anyone had played. Now that the teams have actually PLAYED a game, lines makers have a more accurate statistical line posted. If you want to lose your wad based on preseason expectations, go right ahead. UGA by at least 10.

The point is, 1 game from each team has now shifted that line by 10 points, and based on past history, that kind of swing is based far more on over-reaction than it is on reality... 3 Weeks ago people were putting So Carolina in the Final 4... now suddenly they are dog garbage because they lost 1 game?  Come on!There is no way that shift is justified, and the more people I see on Georgia, the more I am convinced they will be throwing garbage at their TV on Saturday... Good luck!  But this looks like the prototypical covers bloodbath game of the week!

What makes you think South Carolina can stay within a TD of UGA? Preseason expectations?? Certainly not because of great play in week 1 (beatdown at home by TAMU.... Who was supposed to struggle according to preseason expectations) or week 2 (outgained and first downed by an average ECU team). UGA has had two weeks to prepare with some of the most explosive players and best coaches in the game.

Gamecocks defense, while horrible, actually matches up better against UGA than A&M or ECU.
I knew I was gonna be on SC here in the first half of the A&M game.

The SC o-line played much, much better last week and Thompson found a connection with we Shaw Roland who was a ghost in the first game......
We have a top 10 talent team with a living legend coach at home, with their season on the line.......I'll take the points here along with a ML bet.
Value here is off the charts.

Then again, they may get blown out! Ha!

Nothing wrong with grabbing the home dog here at &#x2B;6, but if you are basing it off the assuption you are getting value becauae the line is 9 points off the preseason line, then your logic is flawed.

Train, that&#x27;s not the point: the point is that there is a chasm that has opened up between perception and reality, based purely off of one game (Tx A&amp;M)... and based on past experience, those chasms are a fiction!I didn&#x27;t buy into the SC hype before the season... in fact, I dare say I was more "anti-SC hype" than any single person on this website, with the possible exception of Jimmy... but now that everyone has suddenly disembarked the bandwagon, I am just saying that this belief that SC is suddenly a bottom-feeder is equally unfounded... Furthermore, I was and still am "anti-Georgia hype"... based on the fact that they are always over-hyped to start the year, and they never deliver the goods...Everything about this says that Georgia is over-valued and SC is suddenly under-valued... so please don&#x27;t try to over-simplify my reasoning on this one... I am just trying to caution people against their apparent over-reaction to one game!

South Carolina has played TWO games, Shark. And UGA has been a darkhorse national title contender all along, not just after their first game. They also have had two weeks to prepare for a mediocre USCe team that will be played on Saturday afternoon. I see UGA leading slightly going into halftime, and after the SOS tricks have played out, it will be a solid azzkicking the second half. But please, please, please take those 6 points so I can rag your dumbazz all next week. Thanks.

At first glance...wow what a gift, anything under 7 looked like a sure thing, but only hours after I locked my Georgia -6, I feel as though I overreacted on what I saw on week 1.... I think its very likely, that South Carolina, like all of us, was dumbfounded when A&M came out and smashed them right in the mouth, and kept on smashing them, over and over.... No one was expecting that A&M could possibly play at that pace, and at the same level of success without Johnny Football, and Evans....Those smashes to the mouth, were more than the Cocks could overcome..... same goes with Georgia's win against Clemson... That game was tight throughout until late in second half, when Clemson allowed a few mistakes to snowball on them, until eventually, they practically threw in the towel... I think A&M are better than everyone thought, and that Clemson isn't really as good as some thought ... which is why everyone, myself included, thinks that Dawgs minus the points is such a sure thing.....
