Some of you might remember the Thursday Night Home Underdogs thread from last season, where we bet any underdog of 7 points or more playing at home on a Thursday night.

Here are the results from last season:

8/24: Florida International +9.5 vs Indiana
Result: LOSS

9/15: Cincinatti +7.5 vs Houston
Result: LOSS

9/22: Georgia Tech +10 vs Clemson
Result: LOSS

At this point, I was ready to throw in the towel. And then....

10/20: South Alabama +9 vs Troy
Result: WIN

10/27: Buffalo +18 vs Akron
Result: WIN (outright winner)

11/3: Iowa State +21 vs Oklahoma
Result: WIN

11/10: Duke +12 vs UNC
Result: WIN (outright winner)

11/17: Houston +17 vs Louisville
Result: WIN (outright winner)

After the brutal 0-3 start, the system went 5 in a row to finish in positive money territory for the year.

Remember, this system is just for fun and to see how it does for another season.

This year's first play will be Indiana at home vs. Ohio State.

What to expect from the Hoosiers? Honestly, I have no idea. Could be a bad matchup for them with former head coach Kevin Wilson now calling plays for the Buckeyes.

Indiana +21 is a play.

Interestingly enough, this line has moved between +20.5 and +21 a lot in the last few days. Must be plenty of action coming in on both sides at this point, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it go up as we get closer to gametime and the public money floods in on Ohio State.

waiting for that. public will be all over ohio state.

ohio st has avg 38 pts per game at indiana, i think they cover

Ohio state -12 first half, Indiana makes a little run in the second, grab the over 58! BoL everyone.

First play of the year was a loser.


I have been watching the Iowa State/Texas line all week, it hovered around 6.5 but I just looked and it is down to 4.5 on 5Dimes. Unless a ton of Texas action comes in and the line hits 7 or above at regular -110 odds this will be a no play for the system.

Been awhile since we had a play for the TNHU system, but we have two tonight- Ball State +25.5 and Oregon State +21. Tail or fade, good luck.
