 canes you are such a moron, OK Miami has 4 NC (that I can find, AP and UPI) and OSU has at least 7. Miami has been competitve in CFB about 25 years, OSU for over 60 years. MIami had a nice run for about 20 years but as Dennis said they cheated alot and that's just what they got caught with. Some guys want to run a clean program and they counltn't compete with Miami. Anyways, get lost, Miami is old news, they are finished, they are like Army, who USED to be a national power.

I ve been reading and am not getting involved and i like alot of the points that both sides give.  But hearing that the Big 10 is the Toughest conference is just plain crazy, SEC and Pac 10 by far much better.  I think that Ohio would have the best chance against WV only do to the fact that their D-fense is subject and Ohio could control the ball and take time off the clock to keep it out of White and Slation's hands.  Ohio's past bowl experiences have brought them against much weaker teams.  This year they have no choice, they can't be put against a I1 Independent recently over rated Notre-Dame team or any caliber team like that.  Kansas St. has never been good, so lets clear the air on that one.  And when they were put against a much better Florida team the record showed that they were no match.  and again, I dont care how  good any college team is,  there is no way that any college team could beat the worst of NFL teams now, that is just crazy to think that.  Ohio St has made me money this year and they have a great team but they have no shot a winning a bowl game this year, the legacy will continue of bad playing in bowl games, if the are ever ranked in the top 10.

I don't like Miami in the same way a lot of folks hate the Buckeyes.

teabags, first of all that Kansas state team you were talking about upset OKL in the Big 12 title game that year, OKL was #1 and on a roll that year. And also, OSU has played very well in  the bowls, since 2002, they won 4 straight bowls, and then lost of course last year. The year that OSU destroyed Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl, ND was ranked #6 in the BCS. They had Brady Quinn at QB and a much better team than they do now.  ND sucks now but they didn't a couple of years ago.

You don't like Miami?? Nice to meet the first one, just kidding. Everybody hates the Canes. It is cool. Not to pick on Tresselgal, but jealous?? That is the attitude that gets us non-buckeye fans. The insulting insinuation that we would be jealous of 1 championship in 40 years. It is all good, enjoyed the argument. Hopefully, we can have some more fun after the Alamodome. I fear the worst, but Missouri has Temple back and I am taking them. Can't imagine the over not coming close either. Good luck to you as well.

Thanks Canes.  I appreciate your post.  Well said, however I have to disagree with you on your pick.  I want Oklahoma to win for obvious reasons. . .but looking at it objectively I really think the Sooners have superior talents and should kill Mizzou.

I keep hearing that OU is more talented. I don't see it. Not QB, not RB, Not WR. OU's line is nails, but on defense, they can't stop the pass. They may be more talented, but where is it going to pay off. I know they beat them handily earlier, but OU has REALLY been a different team away from home. The two losses and the Iowa State game come to mind immediately. The more I type, the more I think I am putting on Missouri.

canes47, it appears that people outside of Ohio are basically sick of seeing Ohio State around the championship games too much lately.
 
Last year, we got drilled by Florida in both the Football and Basketball championships.
 
Most of our fans have earned a rep for being pretty obnoxious.
 
And it seems the sentiment is to not see them in it this year.
 
It is completely reasonable to think Oklahoma capable of beating Missouri. I'm not betting on the game, but if they lose, like it or not, the Buckeyes will have played in 3 championships in the last 5 years.
 
People will just have to deal with it and stop calling it a fluke. They've earned it.

quit crying about the phantom call....there was contact when ball was in the air....THERE ARE PHOTOS....or go back and watch the last 4 mins of 4th qtr......just over 3:30 left OSU completes a pass on sideline only to be called incomplete........Fouts mentions it was a catch.......leads to a punt....then to OT.there are a few more but the haters just keep crying......

yeah Bucknuts, I remember that call, there were some bad calls earlier in the game against OSU also. The PI call was legit. The ref took a second to call it, and he said he wanted to make sure of it. Anyways after that the Canes had their chances in the next OT and they blew it.

It is likely that OKL dismantles Mizzou on Saturday, and we will be left with the 2 teams that took care of business the best they could this year, WVU and OSU. Anyone wanting to whine about another team in the BCS NC has no claim. You can't have a team with 2 losses in and have any credibilty. So that eliminates a ton of teams. And Hawaii and Kansas don't have a case. So you are left with OSU and WVU.

This thread is silly. It is made up of massive amounts of penis envy and fail. I hope this cross-section of closet Buckeye backers realizes that OH St. has not only lost just 3 regular season games in 3 years but is hitting 70% ATS in that same time. I don't care who you are, but any team that plays in a BCS conference that can say this is a heck of a football team. If you don't like or hate OH ST., because your just not a fan, they beat your team, or they let your bankroll down, then more power to you, just be a man and admit it.  But if all you can do is point to 1 or 2 games over the past few years, throw overall records and facts out the window, then call this team overrated, please continue to bet against them so i can keep getting the best possible lines when it is time to make some cold hard cash on Sat.  I absolutely HATE USC, MICH. and LSU, teams that have lost more games and been less effective ATS, but I'm not going to start a "hate thread" on a capping website and look like an absolute retard. Save your biased, completely unfactual opinions for your high school debate class.
