I hear both starting corners have been kicked off the team. Charles Brown and Kendrick Burney.
GAINESVILLE -- Two freshmen on the University of Florida football team were arrested over the summer for possession of alcohol under the age of 21, the Miami Herald has learned.
Not only will they not be suspended, Elam and Patton will get more reps with the ones as a reward for their keeping their mouths shut when dealing with the authorities.

Rice starting DT Scott Solomon will miss the season with with a broken bone in his right foot. Solomon moved from end to tackle this spring and, along with Cheta Ozougwu, was expected to anchor the defensive front this season.
• What it means: Heading into the Sept. 4 season opener against Texas, the first-team defensive line looks like this: Ozougwu and Kramer Lucio at ends, John Gioffre at tackle and Michael Smith at nose. Coach David Bailiff said a number of players could work themselves into the rotation, including Hosam Shahin, Brian Stacey and Dylan Klare.
Solomon was 2nd-team All-CUSA last year. Rice earlier lost DT Alex Lowry (started 9 games last year), who decided to transfer.

good find viva - and Leonard was originally 2nd string to Lefiti who was injured earlier in the spring
Nos...trying to shuffle an offensive line less than a week away spells disaster especially when you are trying to replace 4 starters...that is the second center UH has lost in 3 months as OL Lefiti will be out at least 3 games...UH best linemen, Laupepa Letuli, is having back spasms and has missed some practice time recently. Also, starting RG Adrian Thomas was out of practice 8/26 for minor ailment.

Hawthorne had a screw inserted after suffering the injury in his fifth metatarsal. He'll miss Illinois' first two games against Missouri and Southern Illinois, and possibly more time"
