Also, I take Pete Carroll vs Tressell...I would put my dough on Carroll anyday (except for when the lines get ridiculous vs Pac-10 teams)

I like the guy who brought up OSU prepping for the option week 1 vs. Navy...good point...probably why it appeared so close. Option is a big pain in the ass to defend.

Still regardless...Trojans cover.

That is the only thing I can possibly think of. Other than that they are fricken stacked, and Pete Carroll isn't going to put the game in the QBs hands. They will run and score on defense and try to keep the pressure off Barkley. I think they play a short pass game and utilize the TEs, use their speed on screens...keep Barkley confident.

OSU wants a little redemption that is for sure and what a better place to do it, at home.

It is going to be a hard fought game...

Regardless I still like the Trojans...Quarters, Half, ML, and to cover...They are on a mission and I don't think OSU is going to knock them off, particularly a Big 10 team.

USC has no standout receivers? If Damian Williams doesnt count, than what the hell does OSU have? I still havent heard anyone mention any ACTUAL players on OSU that will be a reason why OSU would win. Nobody except TP.

This is the MAIN reason why I have yet to pull the trigger on the Trojans. Not because they are facing OSU, not because its a hostile environment, but only because most people like USC. I hate that.

usc is the best big game team in the country! i will lay the points--but i am hoping it goes to 7. by the way, i am not a fan of usc, but facts are facts.

The Trojans generally do not play their best ball in the first half. If Ohio St. gets off to a good start (maybe the USC defense not exactly ready) then Barkley might begin to feel some pressure to make some plays and could throw an interception, which he was prone to in practice.

A good game by Gibson, Heyward, and/or Worthington vs the all universe line could mean hundreds of thousands of dollars in the NFL (moving up in draft). Plus, all week this defensive line has to hear about how good USC's line is and how many yards USC will rush for. I think the OSU defensive line comes to play Saturday.

Yeah the Pac 10 sucks, can someone tell me their Bowl record last year? Oh thats right they cleaned house. OR state was a solid team last year as well. The SEC is sooooooooo great. Is that why LSU got outplayed last week by a team that went 0-12 last lear in the shitty PAC 10. Please haters take a break, USC is going to destroy Ohio St. right in their own backyard. Jump on the -7 before it rises.

I don't know if anybody remembers that game last year at Texas Tech when the Red Raiders upset the Longhorns, but I think the atmosphere in that game will be very similar to the one at the Horseshoe on Saturday night. There was about as big a home-field advantage in that Texas Tech stadium as a team can get though. It was loud as fuck, dark as fuck, and the fans were literally shaking the stadium. There was not a spot of Longhorn orange in the crowd. And when the Red Raiders came out and jumped on UT early, the crowd exploded. They literally willed their team on. I could see the same thing happening again this Saturday where a lesser skilled teams rises to the occasion behind the support of the home fans.

I am by no means a USC fan. I've been pretty critical of both the Trojans and PC. The thing is that in a playoff system I think USC might have won 4 MNC is this decade. Every team has a bad day, but when USC struggles against some sub-par teams its easy to get down on them. Not that it happens often, but when it does it costs them the whole season. I feel for USC having to be perfect just to be in the MNC picture. I dont think there is a team this decade that would beat USC 2 out of 3 in one season. I hope you take that the right way.

Saying all that. Even with what USC had to replace, I havent seen an OSU team close in talent to USC. Not dwelling in the past here, I am saying that he athletes at USC are better than the athletes in Columbus. I cant take OSU based on that every time they faced a team with sort of athletes they have lost since the game against The U.

In a one game scenerio anything can happen and Ohio State might get the best of USC at home. Again play the game 3 times and I think USC blows them out twice. Its a no play for me, but Ohio State would have to prove to me first that they can beat even a SC team with a frosh QB and a re-loaded D.
