clement is prone to throw some bad INTs with all the TDs, and if Hardy gets some pressure, SMU can hang around in this game.  their defense was torched by a Junes-like Tulsa offense at the end of last year (rice covered but was a huge dog).  i like the over as well, but SMU could keep up with Rice and this game could go down the wire like the past 2.  probably just timid to pound Rice after the Oregon St Experience last night.

QB Chase Clement will once again put up some monster Numbers after 3377  29 TD's-16 Ints and leading the team in rushing with 535 and adding another 8 Td's on the Ground ....With plenty of weapons and a better O Line Chase should easily account for 40+ TD's this year...
 
RB Both RB''s return from last year and more should be expected from CJ Ugowkwe (263) 4.1 3 TD's and Justin Hill 321 and 3 Td's
 
WR  Jarrett Dillard 79-1057  14 TD's could catch close to 100 Balls this season With the top 4 targets returning ..Toren Dixon 46-448  5TD's-----Tom Henderson 36-348 3 TD's ==== TE James Casey  who had 46-585  4 TD's in his FR. year  could be ready to make a huge impact this year..
 
O-Line allowed 30 Sacks in 524 Attempts LY..  while they lose 2 starters Rice does return 83 Career starts which is 27th in the NCAA...
 
The Defense was extremely weak last year
42.9 PPG   4.8 per carry      312 Passing yards allowed
 
7 Starters do return
 
D_line  Playing Freshmen at DE last year hurt but it could really pay off this year as CUSA FR> Team Scott Solomon 49 Tkls 4.5 Sacks , and So Cheta Ozougwu should both have nice impacts  this year.   they better this team only had 19 Sacks Last year.
 
LB's    6 Players return with starting experience ...Brian Raines 81 Tackles,Vernon James 74 Tkls....Both need to make more plays within 5 yards on the Line ...
 
DB's   got roasted LY with the better pass rush and alot more depth this unit can only be better this year.
 
HC David Baliff returns for his 2nd Year after Rice had 3 Different coaches in 3 years...
 
Rice should go Bowling this year !!!

While I have Rice at 8-4.. Several games should be within 3 points either way... If the defense does not make a good sized improvement they could finish 5-7....
 
I do Feel there is plenty of money to be made backing Rice this year

I love the "probably timid" line......the Oregon State Experience got me too.....nothing better than kicking back and watching a superior team dog it untill the final 5 minutes of the 4th.  Absolute horrible coaching from Riley....that is what happens when you coddle players. Turnovers, Penalties and dogshit special teams.

Rice will win big.  52-24.  A couple of special team plays puts SMU in field position to put up a few points.

Looks like the 1/2 point I bought to get it down to 3 was a waste of a dime. I've got the over 69.5 as well, hopefully Rice hits 50 because the Mustangs maybe turnover prone. BOL

D-Up.....i'm with you on Rice.... JuneJones won't rescue a bad SMU team ....at least not this year......always take the expierienced QB in season opener....especially opposite a new meat QB.....any thoughts on Temple

Very nice. This is what I like to see, finding the soft line and actually giving a solid reasoning for taking it.
 
One thing in the future. Puting nearly 20% of your roll on one football game isn't a good idea. You got a way with it here but trust me a little variance maybe a 4-5 game losing streak and your account is busto.
