So lets get into this supposed fishy line.....

Wiscy being a -5.5 fav in the Big House is ONLY the 5th time in the last 20 years (I only went back to 1990) a visitor has been fav over the Wolverines in the Big House. Vegas respects that and will not make Wiscy a TD or more fav in this spot. If they did EVERY UM Homer/alum would unload on UM and drive the line down Anyway.

In 1995 the #1 ranked team and undefeated OSU came into the Big House as a -8 point fav (they were beat in a Upset). 1998 PSU was a FG fav, in 2009 a dominating two loss #8 OSU was a 10 pt fav in the Big House...this year Iowa was a fav and 2 years ago Wisconsin was a -4.5 pt fav and lost by giving up 20 points in the 4th.

The fact that Wiscy is a fav is historical by itself. The fact that they are laying more than a FG is detriment to how talented they are. The fact they are a -5.5 fav (3rd largest for a road fav in the Big House since '90) suggest that Wiscy will win flat out. In the 3 upsets or covers in the past that beat the ranked road fav was lead by a GREAT defensive effort.

In 1995 the defense was led by All Americans Charles Woodson, Jason Horne and Jarret Irons. Thats 3 All Americans on defense on a scrappy 8-3 team as 8 point dogs AT HOME! Now that if anything was a fishy line that was one. In 1998 Dhani Jones and James Hall (both of whom are still starting IN THE NFL) led a stone walled defensive efforet against PSU. In 2008 John Thompson returned an int for a TD to shift the momentum of the game and was deciding score. With that said...Who in the hell on Michigan's defense is or will be an All-American, will play on Sundays or better yet will make a tackle for loss against John Clay and company

Sorry for taking over your thread but if UM wins on Saturday it will be the BIGGEST upset in the Big House BY FAR. But that simply will not happen with how bad the defense has been and this being a sandwich game before the "Big Game"...so to be forewarned is to be forarmed

You are crazy if you think this is a letdown spot for Michigan.  You have been following Michigan football for 15 years and you think they will not be up for Wisconsin?  Hmmm.  I do agree with you that the line is accurate though.  Michigans defense has looked much better the last two weeks.  Yes, when they gave up 65 to Illinois it was actually our best defensive performance of the year.  You would have to watch Michigan closely every week to see this.  Obviously last week was our best performance by far, but much of that was how inept Purdue was.  The key here is that Wisconsin has the type of offense Michigan is capable of slowing down.  We are not going to shut down any decent offense, but we will get absolutely torched by a spread offense with a mobile qb.  On the flip side the Wisconsin D is definitely penetrable.  I have seen them look pretty awful at times, though I believe it's from a lack of focus against inferior competition.  They will be ready for Michigan.  Michigan could definitely win outright though I don't expect them to.  Line is pretty solid though I would lean Michigan.

I wish you luck and I hope Michigan wins.. However, I don't see it happening.. Michigan is 3-7 ATS.. If you take a look at their 7 wins, there was no quality opponents.. UCONN, ND, UMASS, BGREEN,IND, ILL and PURDUE. They probably should've lost to ND and ILL.. Also, add to that, UMASS and IND could've beat them also..If this team is 5-5, which they probably should be or worse, this line is Wisky -10. Yes, even in the Bighouse..

Just like the Cowboys shouldnt have won against the Giants? Like the Giants should have been favored by 21, right?

Actually, I took Dallas +12.. Dallas has just been an underachieving team all season.. They're a much better team then the record shows.. Penalities and stupidity has killed them all season.. Michigan doesn't have the talent and they've been lucky a few times this year.. I'm not saying Michigan can't win, we know anything is possible.. I just think their record of 7-3 is deceiving, Wisky is clearly the better team here..I'm a Michigan fan, but my money is on Wisky.. Like I said, BOL

    PT,

You have got some big stones!  Have watched UofM all season and they can not stop anyone.  Wisky can run but they can also pass the ball.  I hope you are right because I would like to see Wisky lose but man I could never pull the trigger on this one.  I am going to play the over for sure.

the home team in this series hasn't lost by more than 5 points in the last 10 meetings (and possibly more)...

this is one of my favorite bets on the board... really wish i was getting 6 or 7, though... sharp line by the books!

Are you kidding me?  Defense looked better against Illinois.  Why, because they stopped the 2 pt conversion, which was the only Defensive play they made all day!  I hope Wisky does lose this weekend, but holy cow.  They scored 83 last week, they may go for the CHALUPA this week.
