my first thought on this game was that the line is exactly the same as last years line sans home field advantage. i have this game lined at 10 points conservatively and wouldnt be shocked with another blowout.
firstly big game bob.... say what you will about him, god bad or indifferent, he would have had his guys up to play and in game he was sound. can a rookie replicate that on the road at night in a hostile environment??? id much rather have a proven commodity
ohio state is better and deeper on the dline than they were last year. they go 3 deep with 4 and 5 star guys and that will wear anyone not named alabama out. i expect to see baker on his back a lot unless they try that 2 step drop all game.. and even at that he better be quick. i am aware he completed 500% of his passes last week. but lets be real, im calling UTSA one of the worst FBS schools this year, so thats a terrible gauge
no perine, no mixon, no westbrooke.. so can you just replace 3 dynamic starters who are now on nfl rosters?? the answer is yes, but the odds arent great.regardless they at least had a poven track record... andrews is a beast and ohio states dbs arent the most rangy fellas as we saw with cobbs looking like an NFL all pro last week. having another option or 2 would be ideal for the ou offense.
this osu team is much improved over this time last year and ohhh to boot they just got arguably the best offensive mind in football to run their broken corpse of and offense that they trotted into norman last year.im not sure i can say this OU team is even as good as last years team... i def cant say they arent any better. i said it last year and ill say it this year i have a max bet on ohio state - 7 per game of year odds at 5 dimes. i think this game barring catastrophic acts from god.. isnt close come the final whistle

This game is decided by OSUs ability to get to Baker... if they can consistently keep him off rhythm, they win, if not this will be Indiana pt 2. If Indian can get 400 on them, I'm pretty sure Oklahoma can. If they can pass successfully that opens up the run. I have faith in their defense too. J.t. and t hat offense struggled against Indiana.

I put monen on OU last year vs OSU. From the 1st QTR you can tell their defense could not hang with OSU. Not sure waht the case is this year but I will not be betting OU again.

I'll say this that Ohio State defensive line is nasty... Just ridiculous.
But i re-watched that Indiana game this morning. I don't want to say Ohio States secondary isn't good, so I'll say they're just inexperienced. Some of those DBs looked lost at times during the game. Ohio State made great 2nd Half adjustments and finally gave them safety help which forced the IU QB to hold the ball a bit longer which resulted in Sacks, rushed throws, etc.
Like they said above Oklahoma is returning arguable the best offensive line in the country and Baker is as efficient as they come.
If Ohio State can put constant pressure on Baker and keep him off the field Ohio State should win the game.
If not I think it becomes a shoot out.
I think the appropriate play for this game is taking the OVER

#12 for Ohio St. (one of the starting CB's) was abused as bad as I have ever seen in the first half against Indiana- OSU made adjustments last week and next thing you know they blew them out in the second half. I am leaning Ohio St. as I think they were playing possum last week and Oklahoma vs UTEP is not a good gauge of just how good Oklahoma is. This should be a good game but I think Ohio St. just out muscles them and pulls away in the second half. I am still capping this one and have not made a play on it.

Indiana in the 1st half kept on throwing back shoulder throws...DB was not consistently beat...Once OSU adjusted...They shut down Indiana's passing game.
Mayweather bet 450000 on

I think Indiana was a much better opponent than UTEP. Indiana was higher than a kite with former Buckeye coach. OSU figured them out and the better athletes took over. I think OSU brings better athletes again. This reminds me of the old OU / Miami under Jimmy Johnson they have OUs number.

They didn't look lost. They were executing the gameplan the were given. They were playing man coverage with their backs to the QB and Indiana was throwing back shoulder throws. It wasn't like they were wide open. Indiana executed their gameplan very well in the first half. OSU played mostly zone in the second half. The DB's played facing the QB, which took away the back shoulder throw. It was schematic more than anything. It kinda makes me believe they overlooked Indiana a bit since it took them until halftime to adjust. They looked like they were not expecting it. I don't think they put much preparation into Indiana.

Amazing Oklahoma isnt up 14 at half....dominating this game but doing everything possible to keep OSU in the game...dropped passes, fumbles, missed kicks....OSU at home should be embarrassed
