Texas might be the Penn St of 2026. If they lose to Ohio St --- They could give up on the Season. Certainly, if they get two losses. Texas is Championship or Bust.

@KTriple
They lost to Ohio state last season in the first game. Ended up with a 10-3 record and a bowl win. Their season was still a success but without the playoffs appearance. Could they give up on the season if they lose to the buckeyes again? They played out the schedule last season so history tells me they might not.

With the playoff format now, these odds all suck honestly. You can make close to, or more in some cases just betting the team game by game and rolling it over. Unless you find an outlier that is 20-1 or better, it's not really worth it in my opinion.

@fsutomahawk
one thing i can't stand when betting a team each game is that unless they're playing someone in the top 25 the odds are going to be like -50 and ml -50000 at that point its useless

I dont think Indiana is being disrespected at all.....only 8-1 and gonna have to reload some talent and win 14 games minimum to win it all.....I dont think I would bet them at 20-1....they don't have a tough game (in theory) until Oct 17 vs Ohio St and tuen around and play Michigan on the road the next weekend....USC and Washington won't be easy....another undefeated regular season is doable, but tough.....then have to win 3 or 4 playoff games.....not for the weak.

Like start off game one 500? Roll it over 1000 game two then 2000 game 3 and 4000 game 4?
that sound like a good idea. I try that playing blackjack but usually don’t get too far but one time I went pretty far.
I agree it’s Texas year caperator.

LOVE CFB...nothing like it! Very true with the odds and especially with the playoff format. A team with longer odds may have a chance to sneak in. Best of luck this year to all!! ![]()

It depends on who you are backing, but yea. You won't be doubling up every bet though, but by doing it that way you are still going to get close to or better than the current futures market. It also gives you the benefit of stopping at any point. Say the team you backed from game one of the playoffs has their quarterback get injured in the semis, but they still win and make the final. Now you can just stop the rollover and take your profits. If you are locked into a future you have to either ride it out or hedge off your position.
