Tennessee ran the ball very well almost 400Y last wk - yes it was BG defense - but they are gonna be a handful this wk - and now Sooners get the mobile QB that they did not have to face last yr in the 34-10 win at home.....Mind you Sooners may have a better QB in this one but your pal Knight got 300+ last yr.....Mayfield should have a big day passing BUT we cannot overlook the Sooners OL....potential gonna be a big problem struggled running against Akron last wk - yes they do have a very good DL - but still just saying - Tennessee even with some guys out should be able to stop the Sooner ground attack from going nuts......And we already know that CROWD WILL BE ROCKING GUY is all over Tennessee and we do like that team but let's be serious they are 31-39 ATS home and 8-10L18 as home dog...they are .500 ATS under Butch...This is Tennessee's best team in a while but you only need to look at recent history to see some pretty disappointing home performances..
So while our numbers lean Sooners / It is offset by the fact that in a game with a low spread - we do not like taking the team we think it going to be outrushed by a large margin....that will be Oklahoma....similar to our LSU pick - at -3 mind you and not at the -6 and -7 Alice in Wonderland make believe lines.
Summary - should be a good one. Merit in both sides. Like both of these teams a lot. Have to pass. Hopefully some of this BS will help somebody make some coin on the game.

Now just going by the Steele mag - we are not experts on the Clemson depth chart - but let's just talk ballpark - 10 RS this yr - and by our count - they could be down to 6 RS this wk if you include OL gone pro, WR out, LB out OL questionable....and they have Louisville on Thursday to look ahead to......App St has 20 RS and are on a 7 game win stk dating back to last yr - this was our FAV weasel team when we did our research in the summer....exp...good QB...decent D....1400Y RB....they destroyed in their opener although when you play one guy named Howard it seems to us to be a little unfair....What worries us ? All Clemson does lately is win and plug in freak after freak after freak...I mean Wofford did not even get a first down on Clemson D until it was already 35-CACK....So what are we saying ? Since we have no idea how good this Clemson D is we really cannot take the points here because if it is as good as we think it might be - that back door will probably not be as open as we may think.....
summary - lean to App St given situational angle and the fact that they are pretty darn good....just cannot pull official trigger since Clemson D may be disgustingly good again we just do not know.

Another one that is tough to call - We do know that anyone expecting this to be an easy game b/c BYU QB is gone we think not...Mangum was highly touted and back from 2 yr mission think he will fit in fine....We noted last wk how much we loved watching T Hill play QB and hoped he would not get injured wk 1 - OOPS - my goodness poor guy cannot catch a break - OOPS - a very electric MEGALOCKS fav now gone again....he had 72/132 BYU rushing yards in the HAIL MARY win over Nebraska last wk - don't think we have ever seen HC Mendenhall jump around jump around jump jump jump around boyyyyeeeeeee like he did after that amazing catch to beat Huskers....Just hard to back a team that will not be able to run - Boise gave up less than 30 rushing yards....On the other hand - Boise showed no ability to MATRICULATE in the passing game and were shutout in the 2nd half vs Huskies....This might just might be the Boise hardest game left of course a couple on road vs Utah st Va and Col St but this is a biggy for Boise and BYU/Boise have no love between them should be fun.
