Feels like I'm starting to turn things around after a slow start. 5-2-1 ATS the last two weeks (+9.4 units). Let's see if I can keep it going. YTD - 10-9 ATS (+.2 units)
Thursday, Oct. 8th
UTSA -5' (down from -6') Usf - The line in this game was actually at -7 earlier in the week. The Bulls beat me in their one game as a road dog earlier this year, rallying to beat Army, and they seem to be the popular play here with the sharps. But a LOT of cappers on this forum that I respect are running with the Roadrunners. They ARE extremely difficult to beat in San Antonio, as their 28-5 SU record vs FBS opponents under Jeff Taylor would attest. My problem with taking them here is that they're just 13-13-1 ATS as home chalk. I was slightly leaning USF earlier, but not at this number.
More coming.

LOUISVILLE -3' (down from -7') Florida St. - The Seminoles are coming off their best effort of the season, a 38-7 blowout of Virginia, outgaining the Cavaliers 464 total yards to 205 and outrushing them 281yards to 37. They also sacked Cavs QB Beau Pribula nine times for good measure. Meanwhile, since that big win over SMU the Cardinals have suffered back to back upset losses to Wake Forest and NC State and their defense has been a sieve, allowing 423 yards a game and 266.8 through the air. AND they've allowed 30 or more points to every FBS opponent they've faced this season. Seems too easy to take the 'Noles here though. The line value is with Louisville.
WASHINGTON -2' ( up from -1') Iowa - I was all set to jump on the Hawkeyes here, but QB Hank Brown sprained the AC joint in his throwing shoulder during the fourth quarter of last week's 31-14 loss to Ohio St. and is questionable to play this week. Even if he does play how effective will he be? I'm not at all impressed with the Huskies though. They played their best game of the season last week, a 25-21 loss at USC. But I think that had more to do with the Trojans coming in flat after their disappointing loss to Oregon the week before.

There’s absolutely nothing good looking about Louisville -3.5 on my book currently lol. With that being said Louisville -3.5 is where my action is tonight. I sense a DD win. Last year I fell for the Florida state hype and laid 2 touchdowns on the road in Virginia. Florida state is gonna go 5-7 again this year and maybe they finally fire that scrub norvell

Wake Forest -3' (up from -2') NC STATE - The road team has won the last three meetings, including last year's 34-24 Wolfpack win in Winston-Salem. Both teams upset Louisville over the last two weeks and both teams would like to avoid a second conference loss. Slight lean to Wake but this is a tough call.
Arizona -3' (up from -3) WEST VIRGINIA - The Wildcats LOOK like the right side at this number, but the 9am PST start time isn't ideal. An upset wouldn't surprise me.
MISSOURI -3' (up from -1') Texas A&M - The Aggies had a 'get right' game last week, blowing out Arkansas, 34-7, but doesn't any team that's any good blow out the Hogs these days? The Tigers are off that huge 45-17 upset rout of Florida, and normally you might expect a letdown the following week. But revenge could be on the table for Mizzou after 41-10 and 38-17 losses in the last two meetings between these two, and I don't think A&M is that good.
Indiana -7' (down from -9') NEBRASKA - The Hoosiers are playing their second straight on the road after last week's 47-15 win at Rutgers. The week before they had all they could handle against Northwestern, and with a huge game against Ohio St. on deck MAYBE this could be another struggle. This will be the first real test for the Cornhuskers, but they're perfect thus far; 5-0 SU, 4-0 ATS and 5-0 ITS.
OKLAHOMA ST. -10' (up from -10) Ucf - The Knights blew a 17-0 lead in a 27-17 loss at Houston last week. If they're suffering any kind of hangover from that loss the Cowboys will blow 'em out of the water. Since that opening week loss at Tulsa Okie St. has been very impressive. I don't think I want to step in front of them here.
Saturday afternoon games
Texas -7' ( up from -6) Oklahoma - The Sooners offense is offensive, but that defense is the real deal. If they can hold the Longhorns to 20 points or less they have a chance. But they absolutely cannot lose the turnover battle, and with the way John Mateer has been playing that's no guarantee.
OREGON -10' (down from -12') Ucla - The Bruins are another team with a perfect slate; 4-0 SU, ATS and ITS, but the rubber is about to hit the road with this being by far their biggest test of the season. I'm not sure they can hang with the Ducks in Autzen Stadium. Oregon seems to have recovered from their slow start to the season.

North Dakota St. -2' (down from-4) UNLV - This is one of several Group of Six games with CFP ramifications. The Bison are taking no prisoners in their first year playing at the FBS level, but this will be their toughest test to date. The Rebels would appear to have righted the ship after losing two of their first three games. It's Homecoming in Vegas.
James Madison -7' (down from -10) GEORGIA SOUTHERN - The home team has won the last four meetings. It doesn't seem to matter who's coaching the Dukes. All they do is win. They're a perfect 5-0 SU and 4-0 ATS, and their last four wins have been by 13 points or more. Like the Bison, JMU pretty much has to run the table to be considered for the CFP. Winning in Statesboro won't be easy though. The Eagles were competitive against both Clemson and Houston earlier this year. The winner will be in the driver's seat in the Sun Belt's East Division.
ALABAMA -1' (flipped from +3) Georgia - This MIGHT be the first of two and possibly three meetings between these two teams. The Crimson Tide have been Kirby Smart's kryptonite since he's been HC at Georgia. Smart has gone 122-21 in his coaching career, but he's just 2-7 against Alabama. The weather could have a major impact on this game with Hurricane Isaias making landfall, which makes this game a hard one to handicap.
LOUISIANA TECH -3 (up from -2') Louisiana - Big game in the Sun Belt West. Feels like the wrong team may be favored here. Gotta do some more digging on this one.
Minnesota -2' (down from -4') PURDUE - The Golden Gophers are off back to back upset wins at Washington and home against Michigan. Next week they have a Homecoming date with arch rival Iowa, who throttled them, 41-3 last season in iowa City. This week they go to West Lafayette, and the Boilermakers are capable of pulling the upset if the rodents are caught peeking ahead. Purdue is looking to avenge last year's 27-20 loss in Minneapolis, and are coming off a 24-17 road upset of Illinois.
And finally
Boise St. -7 ( down from -7') FRESNO ST. - The Broncos will try to end a three game losing streak to the Bulldogs. Last year Fresno knocked Maddux Madson out of the game early and went on to a 30-7 rout in Boise as a 17 point dog. Madson is back for this one but may be missing his top target, WR Rasean Jones, who took a helmet to helmet hit last week and has to pass concussion protocol. The good news for BSU is that it appears RBs Dylan Riley and Sire Gaines are both good to go. The Broncos are battle tested this season, while this will be by far Fresno's toughest challenge to date since getting blown out at USC in Week One.
