Disagree money line dog players encompass about 75% of those that actually make money gambling. There is no question the books shade the games they expect big action on leaving a sharp side for those smart enough or lucky enough to catch it. Not saying just taking the dog makes one a sharp or that fading a public play just because it's a public play is a good idea but paying attention to possibilities that come from shading popular games has proved for years to give a better advantage overall

Nice,short & sweet to the point.I like to wake up to Mike&Mike,but agree1st take other stuff is just a bunch of bs.I don't see how folks win not watching the games.Its the single most important factor to me.Has to be treated like a fun part time job.There are plenty of other things u can do during games...I got 3 girls 3 & under at home...grrreat.

I agree with most everything you said, especially about not paying attention to the talking heads on espn. I do happen to believe stats and trends are important in "capping". That word is very over used on this forum. How can you analyze matchups without the stats? Trends are trends for a reason. History tends to repeat itself. Like knowing Notre Dame always has a hard time in East Lansing no matter how good or bad each team is that year. But I do understand your point about trusting the line, and the nonsense about traps. I am a big believer in the Vegas does the capping, you try to find an edge in the matchups and conditions of the game. Conditions is more of a horse handicapping term, but playing the ponies will make you a better sports bettor. Now I'm rambling.... Good stuff as always Train

Also capping football seems to give me an edge at the track. At the track "I hope I break even,I need the money"very cool old saying I suppose we could use it with college football.

As a former College Football player I know exactly how it was in the locker room, on and off the field, chicks, parties and coaches who you trust but leave to go to other schools and leave the guys hanging.

I fully expect OSU to be up 35-7 at the half. OSU needs to kill the Hoosiers....I mean ridiculous beatdown to get a boost in the rankings....Should be a 63-14 type game
You might be right about the beat down, but it won't matter in the rankings, it's Indiana. The team they'll need to REALLY beat down to move up is Wisconsin. Otherwise, they'll need some help or that Va Tech loss will haunt them.
