My take on the final 4

Biggest travesty in sports? What a crock of garbage. Title should be " I'd rather my team play Penn state then The Ohio State". Ohio state earned their way in by strength of schedule and record. In years past Ohio State has taken the fluffiest of schedules, doesn't work that way in CFP. They changed it, took one of the toughest schedules and won 3 out of 4. Did any of you nitwits even watch the OSU Penn game? It was such a flukey win. The best 4 teams are in the playoff ya whiners, what more do you want?

I love how these idiots have been saying "first team in CFP history to make it in without a conference championship" There is no history it's only been 2 years prior. There is no rule, yes it makes a difference in a tie breaker, sure. Quit trying to simplify things and put everything into to small organized boxes people..

I am not surprised by 4 teams but they aren't the 4 best teams in country.  Clemson moving up a spot is very amusing.  Bama with smash Washington.

I see nothing in this post that stated "it was the biggest travesty in sports"  I have never seen so many people on this forum in one day with reading comprehension disorders!

Pack I am sorry if you felt I insulted you by my comment about "marbles" as that was not my intent at all so please accept my apology. I see reading back how you would have taken it that way, but it was just a figure of speech without no intent to insult.

Still rolling with Bama vs Clemmy in the end. Waiting to see if ML goes higher, but will gladly take anything above 3 vs TOSU... 

Vegas line is best predictor.  So Bama is 15 over UW.  What would they be over PSU - close to that, no?  And while I have no love for Michigan, that line would be under a TD  By just about any metric you want to use, Michigan is one of the top 4 teams in the country.

If Clemson plays Bama, Clemson will lose by double digits.

I do not give a f.... as his only reason for posting was to try to antagonize Boom, a person I have all the respect for in the world because of his knowledge of the game of football, and because of his handicapping skills. It is people like Neil that caused Boom not to waste his time posting this year, which was a very big loss to the College Football Forum. If he wants to antagonize he can antagonize on your threads WahooS and see how you enjoy it.

1. Bama - This is easy.... they're the most deserving and a very solid football team. tremendous defense and special teams. If they play again....Clemson will score and exploit Bama AGAIN... Bama hasn't played a offense comparable to Clemson this year.... Ole Miss was the only team and we seen what happen there. If these 2 square off.. I will do a very deep breakdown for you all.


3. Washington - Again, this is easy....They absolutely belong. This team is very underrated and if the " east coast " bias would pull their heads out of their fools...they could see it...and I'm a east coast guy.  


4. Penn st - I want to break this down very simply.... If Ohio st gets in over Penn st...we need to chit can the entire system. Why on earth does Ohio st deserve to be in over Penn st??? We played that game and Penn st won it....and the big 10 championship. I get so sick and tired of the " eye test " and the BS " I think ".....Look I could care less about your "EYE TEST" and the "I THINK"....my opinion shouldn't matter...your opinion shouldn't matter.. FACTS is what matters!!!! Penn st beat Ohio st. GAME OVER!!! END of the discussion.

If this committee fails to do the right thing. I hope there is complete anarchy across the country. Again.... I think if Ohio st gets in over Penn st it will be the biggest travesty in the history of sports.


     


 

Not sure why anyone would have a problem with Ohio State getting in... The purpose of the playoff committee is to put in the 4 best teams. correct ? I know that Penn State beat Ohio State....but anyone who seriously believes that they are a better team than Ohio State has serious issues in evaluating football teams.... Not only did Penn State get their azz stomped by Michigan, ( a team that Ohio State beat ) but they also lost to an 8 -4 Pitt team ( the same 8 - 4 team who beat Clemson, by the way )  Now had Penn State only had 1 loss, instead of 2.... and with them beating Ohio State heads up....then you would have a more valid argument.... You say why have conference championships then ? another easy answer.... to crown conference champions... It isn't a requirement to be conference champions in order to be in the playoff.... for example.... Had Florida beaten Alabama Saturday..they would have been crowned Conference Champions, and Bama would have still been in the 4 team playoffs....   So if we go with your flawed way of thinking.... a 9 -3 Florida team should get in
