As you all know I don't post very often anymore. But I thought I would throw my .02 in on this final 4 " controversy "....

    MY top 4

    1. Bama - This is easy.... they're the most deserving and a very solid football team. tremendous defense and special teams. I think the offense will struggle in the playoffs, but nevertheless, you can't take anything away from Alabama...What a tremendous dynasty we have witnessed over the last several years.

    2. Clemson - This as you all know....is my team. I think Clemson personally, is the only team that can beat Bama.... Clemson has dudes. They matchup well with Bama. I think we have the best player in the country in Watson and if they get a shot at playing Bama again, they will finish the job and beat them this go around. I think they were the better team last Championship but lost special teams and Bama won the game and you to tip your hat, Bama won the game...Bottom line. If you followed my write up for this game last year I was probably the only person in the forum to call it exactly how it went down.... the notion that Clemson couldn't score was laughable and idiotic. If they play again....Clemson will score and exploit Bama AGAIN... Bama hasn't played a offense comparable to Clemson this year.... Ole Miss was the only team and we seen what happen there. If these 2 square off.. I will do a very deep breakdown for you all.

    3. Washington - Again, this is easy....They absolutely belong. This team is very underrated and if the " east coast " bias would pull their heads out of their asses...they could see it...and I'm a east coast guy.

    4. Penn st - I want to break this down very simply.... If Ohio st gets in over Penn st...we need to chit can the entire system. Why on earth does Ohio st deserve to be in over Penn st??? We played that game and Penn st won it....and the big 10 championship. I get so sick and tired of the " eye test " and the BS " I think ".....Look I could care less about your "EYE TEST" and the "I THINK"....my opinion shouldn't matter...your opinion shouldn't matter.. FACTS is what matters!!!! Penn st beat Ohio st. GAME OVER!!! END of the discussion.

If this committee fails to do the right thing. I hope there is complete anarchy across the country. Again....
I think if Ohio st gets in over Penn st it will be the biggest travesty in the history of sports.

Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, and Washington for me.

If Penn State goes into Norman, they lose by double digits.

Ohio State beat Michigan. Michigan destroyed Penn State. Penn State also lost to Pitt.

Expanding to eight teams in a few years will solve these problems.

    Great posting here.

Don't actually make any points. Just write "Um, no it won't."

    I should try that technique.

I'll agree with you for the most part. The Big-10 quandary has a lot of people out here worrying Washington will get screwed out of a spot but I'm not sweating it. After losing to USC, everyone said they had to win out convincingly & they have. I'm not sure there's a team that can play/outplay Alabama for 4 qtrs. anyway, but everyone just wants that chance to see, myself included.

I think you are right on 1. Bama and 2. Clemson although Clemson will go nowhere if they don't stiffen up their defense. I see the Committee making Ohio State #3  and #4 Penn St getting the nod over Washington.

I personally think the Buckeyes should get the boot. The committee stresses regular season wins in which they lost to Penn St. and conference champions which the Buckeyes are not.

That Clemson defense is not close to what they were last year- Watson is great but he doesn't seem as explosive when running the ball this year- as much as I despise Alabama, I don't see anyone beating them but I think if Washington with their speed outside can get a lead early, they may be able to give them some trouble but they will get over powered in the long run. Penn St. not getting in will not be the biggest travesty in the history of sports- Bama won the Natty without winning the SEC several years ago- that being said I wouldn't mind seeing Penn St. get in- they would get hammered by Bama though-

    What Nobody has said is:

They want to kill Penn State for losing by 39 to Michigan and rightly so

So how do you call Washington's win over Colorado ( who also got blown out by Michigan?) a quality win ??

Clemson and Ohio State are the only 2 teams that could beat Alabama, they will be #2 and #3.   Four is open...  I'm fine with Wash or PSU.

Washington was dominated by USC at home, who is the closest to Bama in the Pac 12.  Washington wouldnt have a chance to use the speed, because their DLine would DESTROY Washington.

Dominated? It was 17-13 in the 3rd qtr.
Dominated is what Washington did to the #8 team Friday night.

I would like to see Wash/Bama...  See if Washington's special teams and creative offense could be successful.   I would like to bet on Penn St/Bama, because the PSU's backyard offense won't work against Bama's secondary

Agree w Boom and great to hear yur insight.   Mocking big 12 for not having a conference championship and now they put Oh state in a head of penn st.   Penn st won their division, beat Oh state and then win conference but wait  Kirby fin hocutt (from my Tex Tech) is going to tell us that Oh state is better.  I'm boycotting the playoff until they fix it

Bama would put up 60+ on the Clemson defense. Watson will also give the opposing team 3 or 4 chances at interceptions. So no, Clemson cannot beat Alabama..They could play 10 times, and they wouldn't win once.Take off the blinders Boom..

Yes, dominated.  Washington had 50 yds rushing on 20 attempts...if you add in sacks they had like 15yds rushing.

It was 17-13 in the 3rd, because of a long bomb for 70 yds.  Washington had 1 drive for 40 yds besides the long bomb.  They couldnt move the ball on USC, and Bama is 5+ better/bigger/faster on D.

Browning wasnt even 50% passing, and has looked bad his last few games...even against Colorado.

Ohio St was 3-1 vs top ten teams with a close loss on the road and two road wins

Penn St lost by 40 points to Michigan and lost to an average Pitt team.  Penn St's three road wins are Indy, Purdue and Rutgers.

Had Michigan beat Iowa, Ohio St would have been in the B10 title game.
