Miami’s starters are older than IU’s starters

Estimating age based on years from High School graduation. This is the closest method to gathering team age since player date of birth is private for most. I understand that age of player is not perfectly tied to date of high school graduation, however this proves that these teams are roughly the same age.

Edit: To be clear I'm not calling Miami old, but rather trying to explain that their ages are similar which debunks the current narrative that Indiana is a uniquely old team beating up on kids.

so pretty much the narrative of their roster age difference mattering, that’s out the window.  Found this pretty funny for all those shouting it…

The Canes still have not demonstrated that they have discipline when punched in the nose.  When they are winning, they overcompensate with their moxie snd bravado…When they get behind, they get flustered…We’ll see which Miami team plays for 4 quarters Monday night…

 That’s fine.  I’m just poking holes in the ‘IU average age is 23 years’ narrative.  It’s all I’m hearing.

Every team could get solid proven college players who have proven themselves against college competition instead of hot shot high school players who have excelled against other high school players. Alabama had 16 4 and 5 star players in 2025, Indiana had 1. Alabama and Oregon both have the shiny new toys, Indiana has proven toys, and smoked them both. There is more than one way to skin a cat. Indiana seems to be skinning the cat better than everyone else right now
