Would have thought announcement by now. Or perhaps, complex negotiations, on a variety of issues, involved. Personally, I think he should stay. Among other, what a tremendous feather in his legacy to possibly bring a NC to Ole Miss. Where it was the least expected just a few years back . Others have mentioned ego and a desire for the spotlight...in quest for potential redemption for earlier setbacks. Who knows. He sure does have a lot of talent now. And buy in.

he wants LSU. dream job for him. lots of money too. big NIL monies. better location perhaps.
the crux of the matter is he wants to stay at Ole Miss thru the playoffs and I cant think that LSU wants that (it's recruiting time!) and Ole Miss definitely doesnt want that.

well he was 3-5 against them. people will say you can suck at auburn just beat bama and you're fine but of course that's not true. his first year he made it to the title game so the high expectations were a curse, Going 8-5 and 9-4 wasnt going to cut it especially with saban winning championships every other year

Obviously, you know a lot more re the program, rivalry than I do ( UGA) grad, but I'm would have thought those wins would have given him some support, leverage. And they ain't done a thing since him. Remember possibly some offensive woes after he took over play calling. And the very good OC bolted for some small, obscure school....perhaps UConn.

MTG now delayed, pushed back to this aft apparently. What a clusterfk. Ole Miss AD wants him off the campus asap. Gotten ugly. Mistake for Kiffin and LSU. Why couldn't Kelly win a NC w a Heisman QB?
