How about some degree of loyalty, gratitude for what one of the premier, most storied programs offerred u dickhead;not 14 months-during which u brought much controversy and possible damage-to the university and an otsdg. football program/history..  Notwithstanding my prior comments re WR Richardson, this short term greed, gratification is destroying the fabric of a great tradition.
I don't give a damn how attractive the USC opening was. U have betrayed and let down many.

I am an UGA Grad..who happened to live in Knoxville temporarily too. Piss on Kiffin.

disagree... this is a business move. not money wise but for his career.. he will win more national championships at USC then he will at tenn. He would obviously rather be at USC then tenn.. Is it a shitty move sure its shitty u feel terrible for the kids but this is whats best for him. he does not owe Tenn anything. he did what was best for him but u have to feel bad for the kids

it sucks, but its life. Committment? Yeah, like kids who commit but than change their mind? Or kids who leave early for the NFL?

If you can get fired after one year (Jim Mora), than you certainly can leave after one year.

Arrogant/classless - all things said about Meyer, Saban and Carroll. I think they did ok.

U may be right. Doesn't sit right with me.  U telling me he couldn't have had as much success at UT as out there ?  UT would have probably beat USC this year anyway...with v. good prospects moving forward.Came damn close to beating ALA. And beat the crap out of my mediocre Dawgs.  Other factors involved.

im not saying they were not going in the right direction.. but USC is there every single year.. and you cant doubt that for the past 10 years they are alwayys in the talks and its USC they can lose to a shitty pac 10 team such as washington and still get some talk for going to the NC.

YES, he cant have more success at Tennessee than he'll have at USC. Not even close. Who does he compete against in the pac-10? Chip Kelly? Sure. After that, who's a serious threat when he's recruiting?

YES, he cant have more success at Tennessee than he'll have at USC. Not even close. Who does he compete against in the pac-10? Chip Kelly? Sure. After that, who's a serious threat when he's recruiting?

3 weeks before signing day does suck. You'll be even more upset once you find out how many recruits he was going to get at Tennessee now end up signing at USC.

Arrogant/classless - all things said about Meyer, Saban and Carroll. I think they did ok.

Personally I don't feel u can categorize/paint all these guys with the same brush.  Believe u me I have been on the other end of the loyalty "issue" in corporate america-regardless of how well one performs- yet,I still feel this trait diminishes much of our professional, athletic and social fabric.  Just my opinion. U know..kinda like a marriage.  Committment.   And who hasn't been tempted ??

Kiffin sucks anyways.  He got his ass whooped in that bowl game vs Virginia Tech and made me lose money on Tennessee +6 or whatever the line was.

Kiffin is the modern day Bobby Petrino:  two useless sacks of shit.  Riley would have been the ideal coach for USC.  Kiffin leaves a dirty trail at every place he has coached.

Couldn't agree w/u more wizard. Just read where the UT police were called last night to athletic/football complex where crowd had assembled and was getting a little worked up apparently. U do not want to piss off some of the UT faithful.  Great video of U. Meyer laughing as he gets the text/news @ UF bball game.

Say what you want but there is no Loyalty in sports anymore.  It's all about business and business about money and money is about opportunity.  10 out of 10 players leave their team/program for better opportunity.  I'm not saying it's right but it's the truth.  Loyalty does not exist in sports or business, only in family (and that's not even totally true).

    Q: What is 0-1?

A: This is new USC coach Lane Kiffin's record as a head coach against UCLA.

USC should be embarrassed by this hire by Mike Garrett. He's basically giving the middle finger to the NCAA by hiring away someone who was already under investigation for shady tactics. While I didn't think the NCAA would do much other than give USC a slap on the wrist in the terms of loss of scholarships or vacating past wins, this is like taunting the tiger. I hope and pray that the NCAA comes down hard on this Trojan program that thinks they don't have to play by the rules.
