Kicking that FG makes no sense

Game shouldn't have been that close so consider yourself lucky to even have a chance to backdoor A&M, secondly it was like 4th down and 4 or 5 why would you go for it? they isn't enough time for NW to come back down by 2 possessions they aren't a big play team

It made sense to kick it because it was a makeable fg and it makes it a two possession game. If it was like 4th and 1 yeah maybe they'll go for it.

Obviously I meant if A&M doesn't lose 4 yards on 3rd and 2**

if AM ran it up the gut on 3rd and 2 then maybe they run it once more on 4th and short and we get our cover....

With less than 30 seconds ANY sane fucking coach would rather his team try to defend 95yds of field vs the chance of blocking a kick and the other team scoring.

Put the meth down. I've been losing some tough bets too this bowl season, but when the team you bet on scores 15 pts in the 4th for a lucky backdoor then loses a cover they possibly had in hand to a completely rational decision, don't call it something its not...

BOOM the stupid coach in this game was NW they should have let A&M punch one in once they got down to the 10 this way they get the ball back with like 2 min left

I was on NW for the game but it was a chip shot for a very good kicker seemed like the right call, there's always a chance at a block but it was a really short kick.

Well if the fg that was missed at the end of the half wasnt called good this would be a non issue!

Let me know when you find someone who wouldn't kick a short FG to go up 11 with 35 seconds left in a ballgame and would rather go for it on 4th and 6 instead, and put an offense back on the field with skillplayers only down 8.

I agree with Boom you dont kick it since 3 pts wouldn't do you any good. They are up by 8 and not 7. If you can pin them deep inside 20 with no timeouts do so. You don't want a easy return TD and then recover onside kick in place to have field position to kick FG.

Small chance of the field goal being blocked and even if it was small chance of it being run back for a score....So even if it is blocked NW has the ball on their 20 yeard line with 30 seconds left.

you are nuts.............  I had NW and I still think they should have kicked....  if they don't and get stuffed and NW scores and eventually wins the game... the coaches get fired... wait they already are fired.

 You kick the chip shot field goal every time in that situation. And anyone that's been around the game of football would tell you the exact same thing. Tough loss, but the right call no doubt about it..

Even if he missed that last minute fg they would have counted it anyway.

  

 

Boom, Stop weeping .. You are acting like it was a very bizarre call to kick a 30 yard fg with one of the best kickers in the country to make it a two possession game. It was a quick snap and kick if you watched it limiting the chances of a block.. Now I lost getting 9 1/2 but Christ I am not pissed at that call, it was the 3rd and 13 that got to me. You sound very childish, it wasn't a bad call at all END OF STORY
