Indiana and Why

Record stands at 8-3 for the CFP games.    Last game of the season - let's close it out on a high note.   Let's look at some numbers:

           Miami  41 11 5 9

-6.5   Indiana   11 4 1 18

Indiana opens as a 6.5 fav - jumped up to 8.5 and yesterday dropped back to 7.5  (madduxsports.com)   .     This game is being played on a field Miami plays some of their games on (my understanding) - so is it a home game or a bowl game - I looked at both poss. scenarios. 

Indy is better in total off at 11 vs 41; Total def at 4 vs 11; better in Sagarin rank at 1 vs 5 and Miami is better in sched strength at 9 vs 18.     

When the line opens at -6.5 for the bottom team and you have this scenario - my data indicates Indy should take it.    I also looked at Miami being the home team and the data also indicates Indy should take it.

Indy - 7    -120

This game comes down to Discopline. Miami has none, Indiana is built on it. 

Beck got beat out by Stetson Bennett. Beck will never be a starting QB in NFL. Never. 

Mendoza is a surgeon. Indiana HC is a surgeon.

 You do realize it came to a pick with less than a minute to go, right? It's not like Beck didn't show up in the 2H. Blocked punt and missed FG were huge. Plus, Beck wasn't missing tackles all night. You have to play an almost flawless game to beat Indy. As a Miami fan, I'm proud of the season we had.
