It likely starts off 14-0 instead of 6-0 and who knows what happens after that. Maybe its 24-14 instead of 24-6. Maybe it's 24-14 Texas.

We will never know.

I know it's common sense but seeing all kinds of threads bashing Texas. Doesn't excuse Mack Brown's bonehead call or the shitty Texas defense.

But without the injury it's a completely different start and mindset by both teams. Too bad we'll never know. Ruined a good football game for sure.

Bama had the worst gameplan ever to start this game

They completely went away from everything that got them to the game.  With Colt healthy, it would have been a much better game, but not a guarantee Bama doesn't win once they start running Ingram.  Texas hasn't stopped Ingram yet, but he only runs 3 times then leaves the game.

Whose to say that if UT scored on that first drive that the kick after isnt caught by a bama player?? Its just hard to say what would have happen if Mccoy was still in

My point is that it just ruined what would've been a much better game. We all lose for that.

I agree VV. It sucks not knowing which team would have won. Texas looked ready to roll early. And the D that looked shitty after watching its O play for awhile and getting disheartened was massacring the Tide before the injury and even the drive after it before that backup QB made it obvious they would need to pitch a shutout to win, which is way too much pressure.

Fuck it.

would a , could a, should a,,holy cow- dont really mind taken the loss so much as missin out what hopefully would been an excitng game

McCoy was in first two series and couldn't get a TD.  He was QB when they got the 6 points.  He got hurt in second series on 3rd and long in Bama territory.  Don't think it would have mattered anyway.  Texas should have got the TD early when they had the ball 1st and goal on Bama 1.  To come away with FG was big win for Bama D.  End of story.

False.  He got hurt on the FIRST series.  The score was still 0-0 when Gilbert came in.
