Have you guys seen Iowa play this year???

I'm not popping off.....I'm just asking because alot of people that bet the bowl games have hardly, if ever, seen either of the teams play.  I have seen these two teams play alot this year.  Man Iowa plays UGLY.  Their offense is just stagnant.  Even when they had their #1 QB in there they barely squeaked by most of the year and their record should be more like 8-4, 7-5 in my opinion........At first I was leaning Iowa because of their stout defense..........But then I thought, who the hell has stopped Tech this year?????  First off, Georgia Tech has played the tougher schedule.  They have also played some tough defenses too.....N. Carolina, Va. Tech, Clemson......The best they did was hold G.Tech to 24 points.......Now looking at the line movement, it is just asking you to take Iowa SU and teased, with the Public pretty much split............Rolling with Georgia Tech in this one........Maybe a little on the Over too....If Iowa falls behind here and/or can't stop the option then they are screwed right off the bat

their offense may play ugly, but their defense seems to make other teams do so as well....

And if Georgia Tech can't run the ball like they expect to, what's their one-dimensional ass going to do?

I'm not looking to single you out, but I've heard a lot of people make this point--what's Iowa going to do if they fall behind early? Uh, throw the ball?  What's Georgia Tech's Plan B?

They haven't play a team like Georgia Tech.......nothing close to them

The edge is Iowa won't stop the run........I said to myself all year that as soon as Iowa got to the bowl game I would fade them..........Because not only is their defense overrated, but their offense is gargabe

Does Iowa have speed at linebacker? That's the key to stopping Tech. If they can run with the Tech slots then Iowa has a good chance of winning.

yes i watched every iowa game... they do play very ugly, but defensive oriented teams are always labeled ugly so that doesnt bother me in picking iowa, and as far as iowa falling behind and being screwed, its clear you havent watched any iowa games because they fell behind in almost every game theyve played this year... i would be hesitant to call this unit overrated... clayborn, binns, ballard, angerer and spievey will all end up in the nfl and sash and klug very well could as well

saw iowa a  couple of games there defense is good but the offense got very lucky in the games I saw the kinda team you watch and you can't really figure out how are why they won.

Both Iowa LB's are very good. And Pat Angerer, the best name I've ever heard for a linebacker will be playing on Sundays next year - most likely a 3rd round sort of talent.

iowas mlb angerer is an absolute beast... just looked up the cbs draft board and they only have him goin in the 4-5 round as the #6 ILB in the draft, however his 40 time is listed as 4.52 which is better then all 5 players above him, including brandon spikes(4.76) and sean lee(4.74)

Hard to make that argument against this D when they have kept them in EVERY game this year.

I agree that Iowa's offense is super ugly, however, on the flip side GT's defense is so bad, they can even make Iowa look good. Iowa is just looking for a few big plays here and there, they are going to let their D set them up the rest of the game. You gotta figure these long drawn out bowl games favor the better defensive team in the long run.

Well I'm banking on the option...........They have no faced it this year.........It will be apparent right away whether Iowa stays in this one...........

seen Iowa in well almost all games since I live in Big10 land.  There D is solid vs BIG10 Defenses!!   so they will stop the run.. but their pass coverage is semi mediocre.  Their offense is probably one of the luckiest groups in all college football this year.  They play like crap but somehow yank out a  victory from nowhere.  I see GT winning this by 7. 

Yes.....Im a defense kind of guy too so this pick is killing me............Im thinking about playing the Over too to hedge my Tech bet..........Because I know Techs defense is pretty bad
