I've been extremely busy, so I'm getting this up so late that it's pretty much of no use to anyone. Anyhow the recap from last week is as follows: 4 & 4 on regular bets (3 of which were total s), "Best Bets" were 3 & 0, 1 & 0 on my Max Bet game, and 0 & 2 on UDMLs.
Early Games:
Auburn @ Mississippi State UNDER 24 (1st Half) *** Best Bet ***
Miami @
Kansas State OVER 57
Tulane @ Tulsa -23.5
Afternoon Games:
Western Kentucky @ Alabama UNDER 54 *** Best Bet ***

Alabama -21.5 first half. Come on Freak! Give it to me!
I'm not crazy about the side in this game. I think the UNDER is the best play. I really don't see Alabama eclipsing the 45-point mark here, and I also don't think WKU gets into double digits. Honestly I'm mildly surprised at the 54 total. I thought it would be closer to 50. Nevertheless, if Alabama doesn't cover this game it'll be because Alabama scored fewer points than expected, not because WKU scored more points than expected. In other words, a WKU cover will undoubtably equal UNDER 54. Conversely, for this game to go OVER the total, Alabama will have to score in the high 40s or 50s. If that happens Alabama will almost surely cover.
Ultimately I think this game plays out very much like last year's WKU/LSU 42-9 - coincidentally a "Best Bet" game for me where I was on WKU.

It's about time. Better late than never...trolling for more plays and jimmy is typically good for a few plays on my card.
How about Bama in the easiest play of the season last week? Geez, Louise. I was even more impressed than I figured. Tide in mid-season form outta the gate . Wish I could have more like that...oh wait...KSU/KU game on10/6 .
Auburn/MSU 1st hlf Under...I'm in.
Miami/KSU Over...already in at 54.
WKU/Bama 1st Under...ouch...I'm on Bama 1st half over.
Missouri ML...on that...bet against Richt...again .

Yeah, Alabama was too easy. I watched this team extensively through the spring and fall, and I knew what Michigan was up against. I didn't "Max Bet" the game blindly that's for sure.
KSU/KU and Auburn/Alabama are two future games that will most likely be worthy of "Max Bet" status.
I wish I could have gotten in on some of that 54 action!!! I still think KSU moves the ball at will against the Canes, and takes it over the number.
I don't think WKU/Bama OVER in the 1st half is a bad play. I typically like to play my college unders for the 1st half primarily due to the overtime rules, but I played Bama for the game because it's very likely most of the scoring will occur in the 1st half. Also, overtime is not a concern in this game.
Richt is awful. I just can't figure out why Georgia continues to hang on to that guy, but believe me, Bama fans are happy they do. With all the talent they have in that state, a good coaching staff would have Georgia competing for national championships pretty much every year.

Hadn't thought of it yet...but yes, why wouldn't Alabama/Auburn be a jimmy max bet consideration? We'll see what happens, but this could be an "unload" game, and it's on my radar.
I'd like to have a better feel on this KSU/Miami game so I could take a side...but I can't do it. KSU OL is young (very promising)...if I can't take a "gimme", I gotta pass til I have more confidence. Yes, KSU could cover, but I think Miami will be spotted an early lead that has to be dealt with in the second half. I wouldn't blame anyone for taking either side. I may make a very small "homer" play.

Alabama/Auburn was the only "Max Bet" game I had last season. This year Auburn returns to the scene of the Cam Newton crime. Saban has a very special beat down planned for them at Bryant Denny. It'll basically a free money game.
I have gone back and forth on the Miami/KSU game. I guess I lean KSU, but no play for me.
