Freak Pics!!! (Week 1)

Buying up and down always ends up equating to less then it would be on an Alternate Line, it's just the way things go. For example, on 5dimes go to a big favourite of about 14, I'll use the NC State game as an example. They are 13.5 point favourites and -515 on the ML, but when you go to buy it down 9.5 points to -4 and that cost -540, more than the ML. Bring it down to a PK, and they're charging a staggering -1240. So be aware of this in the future and try to snag Alternate Lines rather then buying/selling.

Moot point for me heritage doesnt have the alternate lines.

Jimmy, any idea why Vegas is only giving Bama 21? I'm kind of wary about betting on this game on Bama side, because well I'm an Auburn fan (lol), but also because I know VT is returning basically their entire defense..I could see this being a very low scoring game even with Bama dominating it and Bama not being able to cover. Also VT's ability to score on special teams is something that would worry me as Bama has not always been the best at Special Teams. Also there's the fact that it seems EVERYONE is betting Bama this game, I got a feeling Vegas knows something we don't. 

I wasnt planning on posting what they had anyway.  I just did b/c Train asked that I let him know what they had picked before the game.  I told him I was not going to do that since it is not fair to the cappers.  Im not going to post what they had in any week unless asked (and then I would only say after the fact).  So I wasn't going post when they go 1 for 4 or if and when they go 5 and 0.

Vegas always knows something we don't. The problem is in the case of Bama they are normally wrong. They have sooo many other games to make up for it on this wknd though. Look at all the public dog love on teams like NIU and BSU. Look at all the heavy public favorites with a lot of new faces laying heavy chalk, look at the teams with new coaches on the road that heavy the majority of the action. Vegas could lose their behind on Bama and still make a garbage ton of money.

Well, I pretty much followed them during bowl season and they did real well.  Wasn't sure about the regular season, but then again, I didn't do my due diligence.  It was only 100 bucks so whatever, I'm sure Ive wasted more money on bigger things before. 

Jimmy, much respect for you as well.  I have been looking at your post for a long time.  I pretty much always take your best bets and max bets since you seem to have a pretty good grasp on things (especially the SEC).  Just keep on keepin on my man!

They only charge $99 for the entire season so they aren't breaking the bank or able to quit their day job.  At the same time, Right Angle Sports charges a staggering $3,250 for NCAAF and CBB, now THATS a racket!  I bet no where near enough to justify spending that kind of money ($50-$100/game), so for me to give BEE and Charlotte $99 bucks for their picks is okay by me.  Hell I made a lot more than that on their bowl picks last year.

Jimmy great to see you back in the forums this year- I'll be following closely.

One thing I wanted to ask that I didn't see you address about Alabama this season, and I think it's a big concern for a lot of people given some of the losses, is the offensive line.  I know you follow the team closely and usually know who will be filling in and what they're capable of.  Your thoughts would be, as always, much appreciated.

And Jimmy has touched on the OL issues plenty of times. Basically the guys who will replace Womack and co all have in game experience. They arent green by any means. Cant say the same about Vtechs De... Nevermind guys smh

Or how about how Bama returns 8 from a defense that only gave up 10 a game last yr? How about how Logan has no real TE, and no real RB to establish any run game? These are more pertinent valid concerns than Bamas OL issues.

Trey- chill the darn out bro.  I know and jimmy knows that I'm a huge fan of his and respect the garbage out of his opinion.  I'm just saying, if there's one thing that concerns me about Bama, it's the O Line, and since jimmy knows so damn much about this Alabama team, I was wondering if he could weigh in on that.  I don't doubt that the O Line is gonna be great, I just want to know some specifics.  I'm on Bama large and don't doubt what jimmy is saying for a second, just asking a question. 

Torreny- no disrespect meant whatsoever bro. Im on bama large as well. Largest bet on my life to be exact. Kinda nervous because of how much I bet, but at the end of the day if Bama dont cover, Vtech deserves it so I'll be able to take the L.

 At the beginning when the lines were released, I posted about the game and gave my thoughts, and I also had concerns about Bamas OL as well, no doubt about it. But as time went on and people on Vtech started dropping like flies, I came to the conclusion that there are just too many negatives going for Vtech right now that should supercede any perceived Bama OL issues. Not to mention Vtech has some OL issues themselves. Didnt mean to come off arrogant or nothing GL on your wager bro. Jimmy feel free to elaborate or give any final thoughts, even though you've given enough input. Its greatly appreciated. ROLL TIDE!

Tech is not returning their entire defense from last year!!!!! They have 2 FRESHMAN CORNERS starting the game for them. Saban has already stated multiple times that they will throw the ball more this year and that is a scary proposition for opposing defenses. They have the best WR corp in the country, TJ Yeldon and the player that will cause match-up nightmares will be the Freshman TE OJ Howard. He is 6'5" 225 and ran a sub 4.5 40. Freak athleticism

I also believe that Tech is down to about 1 RB. One of their 2 top backs is out with 2 sprained ankles and they have been decimated at that position
