Then let's call them all semi pro athletes, and stop pretending. This will save money, stress and pain. Stipends for all. This will hopefully get rid of the greaseball agents influence.

A lot of people hate Saban; a lot of people hate on Johnny Football.

    They are both polarizing personalities.

Saban is the Bellicheck of college football. Allof, creepy and conniving. Manziel is reckless and maybe a few other things I'm missing.

Games with loads of hate are usually great games to watch.

Saban is an aloof a-hole and J Football is a spoiled petulant child that needs to be taken out to the woodshed with a two by four. Who cares, what the he.ll does that have to do with making money. I could give a rats a.ss about either one of them as neither of them has ever paid my mortgage or put food on my table

USC got the penalty they got for lack of institutional control. Not the same situation here. USC knew about the Bush incident and turned the other way. Thats why Pete left when he did, he knew what was coming. Bama has known about this and been coroperating with the NCAA. They told the runner Luther Davis a long time ago to stay away from the program he is not welcome. Way before this story broke a few days ago. Huge difference. All you Bama haters probably need to take a Zanex if you think anything other than a slap on the wrists happens here.

You'd have to be a complete homer and/or idiog square to play Bama at all. Bama backers think ths Va Te,ch cover proved they are so perfect now. No sharp plays Bama at more than a TD in their firstgame at A&M. Better games out there. Well except Jimmydacfreak who appears to have been run outta town. Not even Saban himself would waste a dime on is own paid playsrs to cover two scores here.

I love how people call this cheating.
How is a player getting money from an agent in his junior year cheating? No boosters or coaches gave him money, it was an agent.
Did it give Alabama some type of competitive edge? I don't think so.

Yes, I believe that he took money and it doesn't look good on the program but it isn't cheating. The USC thing is completely different than what happened at Bama. That whole program was dirty from every department and they knew it, had the witnesses to it, and Reggie Bush was being sued in court for the money that he got from an agent because he reneged on a deal they had worked out. The big difference there is that he was being sued in court, which means that Pete Carroll and the rest of the USC staff was going to be have to hit the witness stand, UNDER OATH and be grilled by a team of lawyers hell bent on taking down USC because of Bush. USC pretty much had to take whatever the NCAA was going to give them because they could not allow any of the coaches/staff to be put on the witness stand in open court because all of their dirty work would have come out. If that would have happened, the punishment could have very well been the death penalty for that one. Man, it would have been absolutely amazing to hear what Pete Carroll would have said about that program under his watch if they wouldn't have "enticed" Bush to settle the case, which USC definitely did to make it go away.
This case is different in that Alabama already knew about this from Flukers tweet and had already begun their investigation into it while USC wasn't doing a damn thing and knew about it the whole time. Add to that, other schools will face the exact same punishments and if you think the NCAA is going to hand Miss St, UT, and Bama the death penalty at the same time, you are an idiot. If anything, you should be talking about Ok St if you want to talk about serious accusations. Personally, I think that Yahoo waiting for the A&M week to break the story kind of helps all of the schools because they allowed the other story about Ok St to come out as well. Sort of shows the ridiculousness of that organization and all of the scandals coming out at once waters down all of the improprieties and in some ways, takes away the shock of them all.

Not a chance in hell that is going to happen... most likely this line closes at 9.5 or 10... you are really off the mark on this game, Q!

    1) You'd have to be a complete homer and/or idiot square: I can't stand Alabama... they are a cheating program with a scumbag head coach... I would rather see every member of their football team die in a plane crash, then watch them win another national championship!  I would rather watch the state of Alabama sink into the ocean than watch them win another national championship!  So, in summary:  I am definitely NOT a homer!  And I am without question one of the most intelligent people to have ever visited this site, and I would stake my life on that fact!!!  I am no homer, no square, and no idiot!  So this is a very stupid and incorrect statement on your part!

    2)  Bama backers think this Va Tech cover proved they are so perfect now:  WRONG!  Didn't watch the VT game, couldn't even tell you the score of that game!  Don't give a flying darn about that game, and if they had lost that game straight up, it wouldn't have changed the fact that I would be betting on Alabama to beat the darn out of A&M tomorrow!  Another very stupid statement by you!

    3)  No sharp plays Bama at more than a TD in their firstgame at A&M.   You just exposed how little you know about what it means to be "SHARP".  A sharp bettor does not wait to find out what Bama will do in their first trip to A&M, like all the friggin squares do.  The sharp bettor knows that Bama will never ever get better value than this in a road trip to A&M, simply BECAUSE there are enough squares out there (such as yourself) who can't make a prediction based on things that NOT EVERY HANDICAPPER KNOWS!  Your stupidest statement of all, somehow!

Next time Bama goes to A&M, the line will be over 21... but somehow you are square if you pounce on them at (-7.5)... right!

    To "Onthemound#5"

I can tell by your comments in this thread and in the other thread about Manziel that you are an avid booger eater Auburn fan and because of that, your opinions hold no weight whatsoever.
Don't even try to tell me that Cam Newton wasn't paid to play while there.
One reason they may want to go there is over the past few years, almost half of every recruiting class has gotten drafted or pick up as a free agent after the draft. A

Maybe someone should repost some of your posts from the past, you're far from "intelligent". Anyone who has to state that they're intellectually superior, is clearly not.
