My only play of the year was a week one loss going against James Madison and (perhaps idiotically) I'm trying to beat them again. Four dog plays, two of which are just "opinions:"
1* Georgia State +12 1/2
G-State won only one game last year but the third year coach (he was the run game coordinator at Georgia) has turned it around this year. The only loss was to UCF of the Big 12. They're coming off blowouts of Northern Illinois and Old Dominion. The offense is very good. James Madison, which never ever seems to lose, is 6-0 again but hasn't played anybody that's good. The common opponent is Old Dominion and if anything, G-State dominated them more than JMU. James Madison may win but this is too many points.
1* Wisconsin +3 (-120)
Matchup of the two most improved teams in the Big Ten. Wisconsin has an elite defense and a tremendous group of linebackers. UCLA may be flat off the huge road win at Oregon and they lost their first string QB last week. They'll have a hard time scoring. Fickell has turned Wisconsin around in his fourth year. There'll be a lot of Badgers fans at the Rose Bowl.
Opinions only: Tennessee +9 1/2 (Alabama may be flat on the road after that emotional Georgia game)
BYU +10 1/2 (Notre Dame may be the best team in the country but BYU isn't bad and this is too many points)
