seems like ppl here only read the first post and go on a rant without reading my other shit.
anyway,
1. Im not broke. I lost wht i had set aside as my "bankroll" for this season.
2. I am single, 25, have a real job, done do this for a living. And i can afford several reloads if i wanted to.
Now lets talk about teasers. this is my opinion:
1. College teaser: sucker bets. I think there are way to many games and not enough time is spent on capping this games. therefore spreads are rarely close. Betting teasers in college football is leaving money on the table.
2. NFL teaser: . A lot of time, effort, systems, whatever...is spent on setting the lines for these games because this is where most money goes. Also there are fewer games. NFl is a lot harder to beat than College football. The lines are very close and it is not uncommon to see games that are very very close to the exact line. This is why betting teasers in nfl has a great value. You are basically betting the house. You are betting that vegas did a good job setting the spread. Some games no matter what side you tease you will win.
Anyway, this is kind of my personal opinion on teasers,. Some of you will be complete against it but what the hell. This has nothing to do with my original post, just wanted to talk about teasers since someone mentioned it.
On a side note, i was leaning Pitt tonight but decided to sit out, go to the gym, and wait till saturday.. I might place a bet, will keep yall posted.
peace

Don't sweat it, we've all been there man. To recover your losses you need only one thing and that is patience (Well two things actually, patience and a bank roll). If you can be patient enough to choose 3 strong, high percentage plays, then you will be right back up there. It's just a matter of when those strong plays occur. It may be that there are 2 soft lines this weekend and not another until the bowl games start - who the fuck knows. Don't be impatient and blow your last 500 on a game just 'cause it's televised or it's the last game of the day. Starting with 500, 3 double ups and you'll be back at right around 3400. Good luck!

The strategy i used and worked pretty well for me some weeks ago (insert joke about losing all the bankroll here) was (in summary) this:
* Football is a pretty short season for gamblers. Only one game a week. i always try to maximize profit, i try to "extend the season". I make bets for the 12pm games only. Then, depending on the results, I make bets on the 3pm games only....then repeat on the night games... This means that if a make a parlay or a teaser (i rarely do) i do not mix games that are at different times. This way i can take my profit/winnings and re-invest it right away. if i bet a 12pm game and a 9pm game , i have to wait the entire game for the result and cannot re-invest that money.
Then on NFL i repeat the same system. This, together with watching games and betting 2halfs is how i turned 1k into 8k in a few short weeks...
I did straight bets in college football, and hit a couple of 3 team parlays. In NFL i did Teasers only, 2 team 6 point teasers (insert second joke here)
well i though id share the "success" part of my story, lol

i would lay 500 on the under for tonight's game...take one last shot.....500 to win 454.50 !!!!! it's gonna be raining and you know both teams are gonna run the ball and bleed the clock.
by the way, if you bet totals based on weather, u should probably watch a radar.. i didnt see one storm coming over the entire state of PA during the time the game would be played. i havent seen ONE RAIN DROP. u should stop giving advice!!

I've lost you like you have before as well with piss poor money mangmt. and it's not a good feeling....neither is being way up and wagering 1k on 10 different teams and thinking I'm smarter than everyone else. I actually believed the worst and I mean the absolute worst I would go 5-5 but instead went 1-9. Talk about a grim dose of reality. Learned the hard way not to ever to that again....but still think about it all the time and get that sick feeling in my stomach all over again. Just plain ignorant for doing something like that.

Sorry to hear story bro. Take it easier on your Bets. I started with $200 and i'm up over 6 grand. what i do is bet 2 team parlays with 200 on it. Build up that way and spread that last 500 out smart bro. Try to stay away from these "trap" games example Wisky @ Mich St. Good luck on what u decide to DO.
