Eh .. Nobody likes this one but "THE HAND" killed him last year and I think he can be back to early ssn form and I like their offensive weapons back the major dude WR is a serious dude .. I know it didn't look good but before "THE HAND" thing he was RIPPING IT in non-con and Mateer was leading everyone in the SEC with 315 yds / game .. like 40 yds / game ahead of #2 Diego P and he got back to >300/game vs LSU and Bama in their final 2 games .. We'll see if he can stay healthy but 16-1 frankly I think they could use their heads a little bit and put him under 10-1

Yeah .. I played that .. its almost CERTAINLY going in the garbage after a week or so .. But .. this team has a lot of signs of improvement and starts with HC Albin I really liked the staff that came over and every coach comes in now has to make decisions and one of those is to play everyone and gut the roster and keep what works .. I think they'll be better top to bottom .. There are some concerning units .. depth is a concern .. but the injuries and rotating players last year PILED UUUUP very early and led to a string of losses .. I take these big odds bangers looking for major improvement .. ASU 100-1 anyone? .. Kenny ended ssn 1 looking like one of the worst teams with no home .. came back and were an unstoppable force .. I doubt Charlotte will do THAT .. but I do think there's room to surprise and this is a good year to pick a long odds banger from the AAC IMO .. I have every major hurdle on the schedule pointing down this year .. Navy lost their MAJOR DUDE QB and the WR .. Tulane .. Memphis .. North Texas .. ECU .. and schedule fit to make a run with many of them at home .. Meanwhile I have Tulsa, Temple and UAB as the improvers .. maybe ..
It's 300 or 400-1 to win the conf is an absolute NO NO .. My hope is if there's any chance of these guys making it they can sneak in with 1 conf loss and we get paid BIIIG making the game .. I expect Charlotte will still be like big 17 point dogs to UTSA in the Roadrunner Dome and you might be trimming those hedges down to like 30-1 if you are lucky hedging a champ game vs a legit team on the road, etc .. stick to 'MAKE THE CHAMP GAME' for this Captain Insaino play ..
Really wish another team was positioned like Charlotte with the improivement and the schedule but we work with what we're given .. First time I've said this ..

Like I was sayin above .. good year to take some shots on teams from further down the list .. we had UTSA last year 9-1 or so and it looked like "the big year" .. and it looked that way in San Antone for a few years every since they joined the league .. alas it was another disappointment .. UTSA is almost certainly on their way up but so is Army IMO .. I think this offense puts them in the convo in a major way .. Hellums got his feet wet early last year replacing the other starting QB and Hellums gave em Hell .. looked like a major ARMY dude in the making .. the RB .. appropriately named GODSPEED .. is a major breakout dude .. we saw him busting tackles in the bowl game .. rest of the backfield is in great shape and have a couple of bonafide receiving targets .. the OL is gunna be a nasty bunch ..
Lot of wonders about the D .. I like that we have a solid group of big boys up front .. but yeah service academies can get iffy in the defensive backfield .. they have alot to replace at LB and in the secondary but I have seen them pulling guys from the soph class and look to have them ahead of guys playing last year because it the experienced depth is already baked in .. unlikely they have one major dude they need that rotation ..
Schedule sets up nicely we get USF, Tulane and ECU and FAU at home and Air Force won't be a trip to the rockies either that can set up a dud spot on the front or back end of it .. Major revenge spot @Tulsa before a clear tough spot @Memphis .. hope they can find a way thru that .. Again the offense looks nasty and could be best in the conf pretty easily ..
Won't be 8-1 at BOL but 7.5 or so is around at BM and others .. good luck!

I hit this early on for better + odds and but another smack recently and this is what's available now .. Don't typically take these crapola looking teams under at low win totals but I think Sac State is a Sad Sack this year .. they were geared up to buy their way into FBS last year hiring coach marion and they were attracting some real portal talent for an FCS team .. hit them 300-1 last year for the FCS champs .. alas they stunk and the coach is gone .. but more importantly the NIL commitment from local donors is gone they had ALOT of money lined up if they could join the PAC-12 .. But not for the MAC .. Sac did not even know they would move till well into the spring I believe and new coach new players the best ones moving on .. not a recipe .. lot of planning for a new schedule .. no benefit of recruiting FBS level talent or getting 2nd chance players in the portal and heard they were stocking up on a few leftover JC players post spring ..
There is a chance they benefit from home games vs MAC teams but I can imagine any road game will be very difficult .. they do play some crappy teams so there's a chance they could just find a way to topple this total .. but my sense is this team is really gunna stink and we'll see some other FCS teams made splashes moving up but they were in great positions to do so .. this feels much more hasty and a situation where coach knows most of the players he will get going forward are better than the ones he has now .. play to win but play your best prospects and find out whose worth keeping is how you turn this program into something competitive .. See Charlotte last year for how that first year of reimagining a roster can go ..

Hate the big juice but I do like this team they seem very well put together .. I got 4.5 a while back for much better odds and there aren't many 4.5's out there now .. I'd suggest a flat 5 for -130 or so .. you can also take +125 at Circa for over 5.5 .. My problem with doing that is if the QB gets hurt this could be tough sledding trying to make a bowl .. but this team has bowl written all over it they landed 4 wins early last year before a string of losses and I think they'll be more competitive this go around .. good offense / defense and ST looks solid they can definitely pull more than 1 upset along the way.
Maryland is almost never on my RSW card and long history of beating a good team early on before tanking miserably late in the season .. but lot of guys returning and the key guys and lot of prospects coming up, very manageable schedule to make a bowl .. gut says play it but lower win total the better IMO ..

Glad you are alive and well. Whew! Installed an app named Bluebird hoping to find your other outlet but it was a banking site. What “bluebird” are you referring to? Again glad you are back. Good luck to you.

How could it not be .. have a real chance to make some hay this year .. and maaaan have I avoided them like the plague in years' past I think the one year they made a bowl with tua jr was the one time I played em possibly .. but otherwise yeah its a fade if anything .. but .. idk man kinda like the team this year ..

not sure what we can say around here about other apps n stuff and not trying to upset the covers brothers mods .. i'll try this .. its the most used mass communications app in the universe.. it used to have a blue bird on the logo .. but it changed names after a well known space and auto technology ceo bought the company .. a clue for the new name might be found in searching the english alphabet, hint: find the 24th letter .. or where the treasure is indicated on a treasure map .. in math its the most commonly used variable .. good luck buddy

Check 365 too .. We will realllly need the D-III magic to show up in chestnut hill this year but they got a guy who can sling it .. and what I thought was a horrific slow ugly offense last year with Dylan Longerman and Grayson James splitting up the season 2/3 1/3 or so .. they finished #15 overall in pass yards per game 5 pass yds/gm behind Duke who had Mensah terring it up all year and eventually won ..
BC needs alot of things to go right for this to work but one thing in our corner is a coach that can draw it up when he has a passing QB .. Bryce Young woulda been very close to winning this in '21 under O'brien .. Will Rogers at Miss St would have .. but point is O'brien without a real major QB last year had the pass offense as a whole in a spot where a QB could have competed with Mensah .. OBrien really hasn't had the SLING IT QB dude while at BC .. he's the OC once again and we don't yet know if M-MAC is a dude at this level but .. this kid sure could sling it in the minor leagues ..
In the ACC you don't need to be the best team to take this award down IMO .. Cuse last year and maybe this year could do it .. the defenses aren't very stout .. you need a coach making the calls .. odds maybe knocked down now but check B365 M-MAC was 100-1 there and BOL .. good luck!

I don't know if the Mason McKenzie experiment is gunna work .. the offense sounds like it could end up being in pretty rough shape .. Defense winning in practice .. solid DL has the QB running for his life .. but aparently he has elite escapability and can hit down field .. deeeep down field .. we'll see ..
What I can say tho is there's a big issue with the REC targets .. the MAJOR REC TE DUDE is OFY .. B365 has him on there still .. Jaeden Skeet has been THEEEEE OFFENSIVE BREAKOUT STAR for 3 years now and was solid a few years back but

Anyway big picture Skeet Skeet Skeet has been injured the last few years only 4 or so games last year but was a major target .. and coach O'brien in a big noncon game has every chance to air it out here loss on the road won't matter much .. probably wanna know what works with the red bandana game on deck ..
Camp report says Skeet is the only sure thing dude in the WR unit .. they have 6-7 others who can play but unproven .. WR coach comparing him to Zay and Lewis Bond some the recent BC dudes .. Skeeter had 8 rec vs ND for 72 yds late last yr before checking out .. between 365 still thinking a major rec target is on the menu and not injured and feels like they're lower on the prospect of what McKenzie's pass yds could be .. maybe they won't be huge numbers but they have a major leader under the radar delayed breakout star and maaan they gotta get him the ball this gm .. doubt he'll get to the 90+ but covering 31 seems pretty easy and 60 seem very do-able ..

FYI .. IF YOU BET PAC-12 BOL SSN WIN TOTALS PLEASE READ... BOL modified my PAC-12 ssn win totals adding a note to the wager tickets which I believe was an attempt to clarify (retroactively) that those win totals are to be graded after an "11 games" season. ie the win totals won't include the final flex game which some books expressly excluded like DK but others, like BOL, did not. As you know I posted a few PAC-12 win totals from BOL and I assure you there was no '11 games' note on the bet screen when I placed the wager nor was there one on the ticket when I posted my plays here. And I can prove that. I discussed this issue of modifying the wager terms with the first CS rep and requested they either honor a 12 game reg ssn OR if it was an error on BOL's part and they always intended for the win totals to be 11 games but forgot to notate that then I asked they recognize this as an error in the offering and void the wagers. The initial rep I chatted with confirmed the '11 games' note to mean exactly what anyone else would take it to mean, the wager would be graded after 11 games and the 12th final flex game does not count. But then essentially ignored the issue of BOL modifying wager terms retroactively, and instead made a series of flippant and increasingly more ridiculous arguments as to why the flex game does not count. "It's a flex game" .. then showing me an ESPN schedule that there is no opponent scheduled yet .. and finally said "there are 12 teams, so they play 11 games in total. After 11 games, they have already completed playing with all the teams." .. I pointed out the PAC-12 has 8 teams and by this logic the reg ssn should be only 7 games long before asking for a supervisor. To my surprise the supervisor confirmed the 12th game WILL count and the '11 games' note really means 'at least 11 regular season games must be played'. I hope that is true but its actually even more unsettling as the note says '11 games' not 'at least 11 games' and is a complete 180 from what the other rep was totally adamant in telling me. But supervisor assured me of this if they play 12 reg ssn games then it will be graded with 12 games... gulp .. CHECK YOUR TICKETS AND GET CLARIFICATION FROM BOL BEFORE THE SEASON STARTS AND BE SURE TO DOWNLOAD YOUR CHAT LOG. Be polite and ask for a supervisor if needed. It took me some time to lay out the issue for both reps and they put me on hold a few times. They never admitted to modifying the terms via the '11 games' note which IMO is the real issue, but didn't deny it either. I think they should recognize this as an error and voided them but its clear they don't want to do that. I can't say a chat log will stand if they decide to grade only '11 games' either but its something to stand on. And frankly if you have an UNDER you need this clarified too because now the bet menu says '11 games' the ticket says '11 games' and only the supervisor I talked to said 12.. DO NOT WAIT till they grade you to discover how they intend to grade you..
I wouldn't trust that supervisor one iota...if it comes down to he said she said, you know who wins that...if you didn't get anything in writing, I would sure try for that

They save every chat log .. I downloaded mine and have support for what I'm saying ... I didn't ask them but if the policy is 'at least 11 games' and someone bets now I would assume the final game does not count .. at year end they will discover '11 games' means '11 or 12 if they play 12' .. and of course they are scheduled for 12 they will play 12 .. and how will they ultimately grade idk .. they were ready to grade it two diff ways when I was on the phone with them .. my proposal was to remove the note and assure me its 12 and only 12 if they play 11 then its void .. or to just void them now .. didn't wanna do either of those .. so .. we'll see ..

Will you let us know 6 minutes instead of 5 minutes before the kickoff of the Florida State first game so we can bet the season win total under number this year?
Super LOL. So glad you are back. Good luck to you.

Not many outs for this one .. I'd try to get this under 20 at Fan or ESPN .. DK has it but they limit me to $0.03 per play or so .. It's quite a line but I like the prospects of Charlotte improving year 2 under coach Albin of MAC Ohio fame during some GREAT years for them .. they have a great coaching staff and last year the roster was in horrific shape .. Albin could have been an HC at a variety of schools I'd imagine and his was one of my favorite 'watch out' hires last year played alot of guys .. guys injured all over .. and its become a pretty standard process for finding improved teams .. recall last year poppin Purdue -17 wk 1 vs Ball State after Boilers meltdown year .. I didn't post but have some UNC Over 3.5 and 4.5 wins and threw them in some parlays yesterday that got off to a good start .. and finding these teams is critical ... Like OMG how can UNC be any better .. well sometimes it takes a year before you can start digging out of a tough situation ..
Charlotte boasts a HORRIFIC SP+ rating maybe the worst .. early SP+ had them losing every FBS game by at least 17 points I believe .. but digging deeper on the team there's alot to like Char is in that position and QB Cole Gonzales won a QB comp vs Connor Harrell .. Con was actually not bad but injured early and they have a couple guys who can at least play G5 ball .. So a QB comp where there was just HORRIBLE QB play last year .. Solid RB room where there was nothing but pre-ssn injuries and junk last year .. you can also find a good number of players taking red shirts last year who are among the more likely standouts this year and we expect to see well trained football players on a roster that comes together nicely this time around ..
Citadel ranks in the lower end of FCS teams they lost their QB and WR last year and low expectations realized after a major blowout vs Wofford week zero which is their BIG RIVAL for the BIG DOG TROPHY .. Think we can say we saw their best punch and rest assured this game was not squarely on the radar like they were saving themselves for week 1 etc .. this line was -10 or so when it opened and careened toward 17 quick .. I think it should be 3 TD's given where Cit ranks and expected 9'ers expected maybe top to bottom big improvement ..
Maybe the one worry is playing Cit as an option team the QB was able to do some running vs Wofford and saw some loooong 7+ min drives .. if Char gets into a zone of giving up 3rd or 4th n short and freak TD's etc we could be sweatin late .. but Cit's D stinks and 9ers have other option teams on the menu and stopping the run is a priority they have guys that can do that .. Char also beat Monmouth LY with THAT TEAM for their only win LY .. M-Mouth was a very solid quality FCS tm that nearly won their conf and also beat Villanova in the reg ssn who ultimately had a great playoff run losing to ILL State in the semis.. and woah the risk of morale if Char can't handle this Cit team is huuuge ..

BRIDGE PLAY
CHARLOTTE -18.5 -105 (ESPN)

JVILLE - Maaan JVILLE looked like they were toe to toe with NDSU for 28 mins or so right before a horrific H1 ending sequence .. 4th n inches go call I was screamin take those points and try to go in tied up .. then a cascading series of botched plays miscues and horrible mistakes gets NDSU the TD before the half and you get behind in the dome it was trouble .. muffed snap / fumble freebie TD and on n on another 4th n short stuff and a horrible pick and the mistakes hit them SOOO HARD in the DOME.. bad call BP and we can burn the playoff 100-1 tickets now we needed a win or very close competitive loss ..
Still I think there is ALOT to like with Jville and I would expect for vet team with very good players to re-group after a huge gut check .. we saw some legit playmakers on the DL .. they really need the QB to find their BIG WR DUDE, deep shots he was wildly off the mark.. but I thought he was way better and more dude-like short to mid throws and a legit dude with his scramble ability .. #9 for Ville on D xfer from Albany is a serious cat in the secondary and.. look for him in the Power cons next yr ..
NDSU is not boasting an all time team they made plenty of mistakes lot of penalties but overall they look ready to go in the MW their OL is very strong .. RB1 is a DUDE very good breaking thru tackles and good RB2 tandem .. TE we knew would be major but WR's looked okay too .. QB we'll see not an NFL prospect and missed some short throws but did the job and can RUMBLE and a weapon picking up short yds sneaking it .. the D was skilled at taking things away and keeping Ville from breaking their edge multiple big TFL's and pressure from Ville trying to run outside or QB rollout tracked down .. LOT TO LIKE with NDSU .. have to re-asses them in a big hurry ..

I dropped quite a bit on this earlier at -17.5 and it became a popular line move play and sunk back to the -21 spot in the face of everyone grabbing points after week zero's take the points / under heavy influence ..
Have WV squarely on the radar to be much better this year .. like other turnaround teams last year was a real mess of injuries and diff QB's and just figuring out what's on the roster and setting the culture and Rich Rod is obviously a particular coach looking for fast paced run heavy toughness .. an identity they lost well over a decade ago .. takes time but year 2 I expect a much better team to show up .. Michael Hawkins is the kinda dual threat QB he needs to make this O tick .. they bagged last years MAJOR DUDE TKL BREAKIN MACHINE Cam Cook from Jville .. OL is Rich Rod is particularly nit picky about that OL blocking and laying the track year 1 will pay off with very exp OL .. the big concern here is on D with lot of inexperience ..
I expect a struggle for Coastal they're bringing in a quality G5 HC from Mo State .. A+ Job putting Mo State on the FBS map last year in CUSA .. I don't think its quite the same for this move ... alot will depend on his QB a JC last year who threw 2800 yds 62% 24-14 LY .. if that's what he does in JC then its fair to have questions how he'll do vs Sun Belt opponents might be fine but that's a high pick ratio for a JC xfer and otherwise unimpressive stats profile .. If we lose the cover I think its because he's a surprise dude but I'll take my chances .. they have very winnable games coming up in and outta conf and HC falls behind I would absolutely love to know what my roster can do if the game gets outta hand .. and flip side .. I expect Rich Rod to run it up for first game back in WV if the opportunity knocks for that ..

Cam is THE DUDE in the unit for sure .. checked the dpth chart and sure enough .. what's notable is the 2 backups are true FR and another JC guy who sounds like a dude but 4th on the DC right now so maybe takes some of the touches at some point .. either way if Rich Rod likes his main guy he's going to use him in a big way this year .. hard to tell last year with all the turnover but we see RB's being used as rec tgts in a few games .. what's to really remember is how Rich Rod used Tre Stewart at Jville .. as great as 2ND LT. Huff was at QB he had a MAJOR DUDE RB right beside him and a very under the radar prop for Stewart was his rec yds late in the year it became a real weapon for that JVILL team's run to CUSA Champ Glory ..
We also saw Cam Cook take solid REC yds last year under HC Kelly 30 rec 286 yds which put him close to the leader in REC on the year .. Kelly was Rich Rod's OC at JVILL .. Might not be the same production here as the WR unit for WV is at least decent at the starter level but I would really expect Cam to be a quality target and an out if Hawkins is scrambling .. yeah it could miss but if CAM The RAM got a couple REC targets in this game drawn up for him in Rich Rod's heavily scripted offense outside of using him as a dump off, that wouldnt surprise me .. be a great way to get Hawkins some completions and feel the rhythm of this offense .. and Cam can break one tackle and get this with 1 reception I think he'll get quite a few looks in this outside of his likely very high rush production which is currently 118.5 O/U ..
The thing to maybe worry about is if a win is in hand you could see some other RB's take over .. but I do expect Cam to be pretty much the lone RB bell cow option without much sharing of reps for at least 3 quarters which I think is worth taking the risk for that .. and if its longer we get a full 60 as the primary then all the better ..
Recall too Rich Rod lost to Coastal week 1 of his final ssn at JVILLE .. 55-27 Noah Kim put an exclamation point on with 1 min left for a TD .. Could imagine the whole tables have turned idea might have crossed his mind this week ... I remember it!!!!!!
GOOD LUCK!
