What was good was Washington not just "showing up", pissed because they got a lower bowl compared to teams that finished below them...... & tanking. They went out, played hard, & had fun (loved the Gronk spike)......& sort of made your point. Washington was obviously a couple levels above BSU......this year.

Your missing my point. Boise St was a Group of 5 conference champion. They played a middle of the pack Power 4 conference team and it wasn't even close. Could the Sun Belt and American be stronger. Ya there's a good chance. But if its blowout city, the CFP is going to have to revise the selection process to the top 12 teams, regardless of what conference they are part of.

We all know they don’t belong…add in the fact they lose their players every year to NIL then it exacerbates the issue…simply go to 16 in…nothing automatic…true top 16, top 8 get a home game and let’s go..this is such a simple concept that they can’t figure out

If there is a 2006-07 Boise or 2011-12 TCU out there, they will be undefeated and find themselves in the top 12. No need to have all these placeholders helping Group of 5 teams with multiple losses get in.

yeah we probably do need the place holders. because i promise you every time it does happen, the committee will be looking for a reason to put a 3 loss sec team in instead. all the legit contenders are in there now imo. i would bet we get 16 in a few years...but any more than that is just too many.

nobody expects jmu or tulane to win it all...but they earned their places and deserve the chance. they have to give the group of 5 the chance to be included. otherwise they will have to split the power 4 from group of 5 and make separate levels. just enjoy the games. yes...the irish are better than jmu and tulane, but they are not contenders to win it all. the teams with a legit chance to win it are all in the playoff. that is all that really matters in the end.
