the best bet is don't bet your getting this from one of the best there is I have been gambling for 40 years 30 as a pro yes a real pro on covers .com not a tout. 96 percent of touts are lossers if I had 2 do it all over agian even that im doing great in football thats my game I would never gamble .it takes years off your life its not wroth it believe me I no but if you have 2 gamble gl your going 2 need it

Don't bet against streaks: winning or losing streaks. Bet with them if anything.

Never ask a bad team to win for you.

I see this happen all the time.  Bad team is playing a horrible team, and it's clear that the "bad" team is better than the "horrible" team, so they get installed as the favorite.  It's a role they can't handle, and they fall flat on their faces.

Bad teams are bad because they find ways to lose.

Winning SU & winning ATS are 2 very distinct things.

keep your bets consistant, and like mentioned above, you don't have to bet every game. I work at a sportsbook in Las Vegas and every single day I see the same guys over and over betting 8 team parlays, I cash maybe one a month, never from the same guy and constantly here about the one that got away.

Straight bets are the way to go, and most people that come to my window and ask how much will it pay if I bet $20.00 on this team and I tell them $19.10 for a total of $39.10, they don't like it because it doesn't pay enough.

Don't let the payoff make your decision.

I was given this advice years ago and I feel it's one of the best tips I've ever had. It's real simple. NEVER BET ON BAD TEAMS.

People argue all the time with this philosophy but only because they don't understand it. Yes of course bad teams are going to win some games. Yes there are many opportunistic situations that call for a bet on a bad team. Yes the Royals will beat the Red Sox and the Bengals will sometimes beat the Steelers..

However, If you document every one of those situations where it makes sense to bet on a bad team you'll find out that it's hurting your bankroll. Bad teams find a way to lose and good teams find a way to win. I'm not saying to bet the other side, just don't bet the game. Try adding this to your list of strategies.
