It has nothing to do with end of the season rankings motowner. when you're listed as a 1 or 2 team in the BCS poll when it opens you control your own fate, only a loss can take you off of the perch.

to wahoos. Clemson sure did dismantle the noles, tight game, what a nail biter. And I thought Oregon would be number 2 in BCS. I guess you didn't factor in the possible curb stomping that the Noles laid, yea that acutally happened.

I'm not saying as of today knucklehead , I'm saying if they both stay unbeaten that Oregon will pass them, I've seen the standings for today & I like your team but that doesn't change the outcome if both stay unbeaten

you guys are not taking into account that the polls have 2/3 of the pull, it's not just the computers though they seem to have much more than 1/3 say in tonight's BCS result because Oregon is 2 in both human polls (usa today and harris) but 4 in the comps.
if oregon does not win convincingly over the ranked teams, and fsu blows everyone out including miami, then they would likely get the style points from the voters that the comps do not give. the style points might trump out the SOS that the comps see.
this is far from over, but oregon does appear to have a clear inside edge on the noles.

Speak - we don't even know if oregon st will be ranked by the time the civil war is played, and how low stanford may drop before oregon plays them, we don't know much right now.
what if vatech and miami keep rising in the rankings? and then fsu crushes both of them by 35 each. then those wins plus the clemson win can absolutely trump wins over ucla, stanford, and oregon st, especially when ucla and oregon state could freefall as they play the tougher games.
oregon just gave up 38 pts at home to wazzu, i know they had their back ups in there but still 38 pts does not look good going forward. right now they are living off the prior game to wazzu and quite frankly from the past few years of great teams.

Bama is going down to Auburn. Nobody wants to believe me. Ive been saying it all year. Auburn keeps getting better, building confidence. Stanford could beat Oregon again. They have the blueprint. Good physical defense, a running game, accurate passer with a great arm. A good return man. Big athletic tightends. People talk about revenge for Oregon. I dont think that will factor much. The biggest factor will be the health of both teams coming into the game. Last year Oregon had some defensive injuries which made it easier for Stanford to beat them. Both teams are better then last year IMO. Hogan being a year older being most of the reason Stanford is better. I think Oregon takes them this year.

BAMA loses final game @ Auburn. U heard it hear first. Late loss knocks BAMA out of National Championship game. Malzahn's Tigers getting stronger and stronger every week. Talk about a perfect spot for an upset. They havent beat BAMA since 2010. I think BAMA fans are sleeping on them. And in the end u can blame the loss on the soft schedule for BAMA. There is no reason to be playing Chattanooga Week 13.
