Idk if you scanned through all the bickering, but I touched on it. Vegas just has different rankings than the BCS. As the article I posted says, "The BCS doesn't pay a price if they aren't sharp, but bookmakers in Vegas do."
My prime example (although the other way around) was this week in Wisconsin. #11 in the BCS polls Northwestern goes to Wisconsin to play the Badgers and the Badgers are ELEVEN (11!!!) point FAVORITES. If that line didn't tell you what side to be on, I don't know what line would. Badgers went on to demolish Northwestern and cover with ease.
Same sort of scenario:
#5 traveling to #3 where #3 has a SIGNIFICANT home field advantage. Game under the lights in primetime. Yet FSU is FAVORED by 3? What kind of idiot would take the team ranked worse, on the road, LAYING points? Self explanatory.
Not saying FSU is going to win or cover, but there is absolutely no doubt FSU is the sharp side and a +EV bet in the long term.
I hear ya
I always scan through the lines when they 1st come out....And seeing Clemson catching pts. at home in prime time bothers me.....Still,i`m going to be on Fla St big....I think they win convincingly.....Enjoy the game.
