Watch out for this game. This is a Thursday night special...the on the field match-ups doesn't factor in the VT SUPERBOWL. Majority of the public on BC 60-65%----#2-----Ranking and getting points...Fishy to me.

Hmm, Seem like VT have better rating than BC? What's the lean toward BC Kane. I believe BC will win too but look at your grade, VT players have better rating than BC players.

this doesnt seem like "texas am and miami game" when miami was giving points to ranked team at home. i know v.tech is no texas am but something seems like its up.

captainbignutz - I keep asking my self this question: Why is BC getting 3.5 points at some books?
 
According to my grades, VT have the edge where they most likely will dominate over BC and that is in special teams. We all know how VT plays special teams, they go for the block punts/kicks. That is one area of the game i'm fearful of when backing BC.
 
According to my grades, neither defense will play as good as expected. BC boasts the #1 ranked rushing defense and i hope they play up to that hype. Either way, i don't think Branden Ore will be productive rushing the ball. If he goes over 60 yards, i consider that a successful day for him.
 
Mr_Capper - Im quite certain that Glennon will start. And there is no way i can put money on Glennon in a match-up like this. I predict him to have a average to a little below average game. For Matt Ryan, he'll not have a good game either but i trust him more with my money when i consider this siding on a QB.

can you explain the relatively low grades for the BC front 7 even though they have the best rushing defense in the country. is it a strength of schedule issue? same question concerning Ryan's grade?

what is up kane... i was asking the same thing why the number 2 ranked team (i believe) is getting so many points.. seems fishy though, but then again va tech at night is solid....good luck kind of leaning towards b.c. but dont know yet.. good luck will look out for the rest of your posts..

Kane, I respect your picks a lot... But how in god's name can you give Matt Ryan a B- when Glennon gets a B-/C+.

Sean Glennon is a dreadful (backup) QB and Ryan is a legitimate heisman candidate.

Do these grades come from a computer?

Ryan is A- at the least.

Sean Glennon B-/C+, Matt Ryan B-.  Come on friend, I'm with everyone else here.  Mr. Ryan should be deserving of a high grade, being one of the best in the country.  Mr. Glennon is not worthy of a passing grade.

I follow your plays most of the time.
 
I think Beamer has a trick or two....He will block a punt or fake a FG or Punt...Blacksburg is a rough place to play. I think BC all day long is the better team, but I circled this game 2 weeks ago, and said this is VT's SuperBowl...and this will make up for the LSU game. This place will be rocking.
 
I believe the line is at VT -3, and will not move. Vegas has a reson for setting this line.
 
New Mexico line moved from -4.5 to -6....Air force is better?
Boise opened at -4.5 now down to -3?

Here's an example of how i grade/predict players performances:
 
I'll use tonight's Colorado Rockies and Boston Red Sox game as a example of how i handicap games besides looking at stats, trends and the situations involved.
 
First i take a look at their biorhythm charts.
 
 
Josh Beckett's chart:
Jeff Francis's grade based on his chart: C+/C
 
Josh Beckett's grade based on his chart: B-/C+/C
 
As you can see, both pitcher's charts are in the negative phase, indicating a possible poor performance. Although a slightly better grade for Beckett as he's the pitcher with post-season experience.
 
Next, i take a look at their astrological aspects reading. This part is very esoteric so... if you're already confused, that's okay.
 
Jeff Francis's aspect reading:
 
Mars[square]Jupiter - unlucky/bad aspect
Mars[square]Saturn - unlucky/bad aspect
 
Josh Beckett's aspect reading:
 
Sun[trine]Venus - lucky/good aspect
Sun[sextile]Jupiter - lucky/good aspect
 
Mars = Energy & Passion
Sun = Vitality
Venus = Money & Love
Saturn = Status, Career & Limitations
Jupiter = Expansion & Success
 
Jeff Francis's adjusted grade: C-/D-
Josh Beckett's adjusted grade: B+

There is no way Sean Glennon is a B-/C+ in this matchup. Glennon in any big game or big pressure game is an F every time.

I believe South Florida opened up as a 3 point fave and eventually ended up at -2 and -1.5 at some books.

I'm still recoiling from that loss.

I have wondered where these player grades were coming from.  Interesting, but this method will be @ 55% within 3 weeks..  I'm on VT, but I'm worried about the status of QB Taylor?  Not really worried about what moon phase Jupiter is in.
