Star QB is leaving Tennessee just days ahead of the spring portal window.

  North Carolina STAR defensive lineman Beau Atkinson is entering the transfer portal, sources told ESPN on Wednesday.

Atkinson led the Tar Heels with 7.5 sacks last season and had 54 tackles in just two seasons at UNC.

  Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore will serve a self-imposed two-game suspension by the university next season, as part of the advanced sign-stealing scandal from 2023, according to ESPN.

    Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia won a landmark injunction in federal court that determined his junior college football should not have counted toward his four-year NCAA eligibility clock. The decision granted Pavia additional eligibility and led to a quick decision from the NCAA to issue a waiver for anyone else in his position. It was yet another court-mandated decision that has the potential to have a strong ripple effect through the sport. The most obvious change could be in recruiting. The option to go the junior college route looks a lot more appealing if it doesn't count against an NCAA eligibility clock because many high school football players would benefit from another year of physical development at that age. It could allow players to become more sought-after recruits, increase their earning potential and ability to earn playing time early at a four-year school.

     The 12-team College Football Playoff will move to a straight seeding model this fall, rewarding the selection committee's top four teams with the top four seeds and a first-round bye, the CFP announced Thursday.

   Texas State is the heavy favorite, per ESPN sources,
             to be issued a formal Pac-12 invitation.
The league is still engaged with other schools, per sources,
but Texas State has clearly emerged at the forefront of that group.

The league still needs an 8th member.

Michigan will struggle some this year.
